More than a tragedy (BxB)

Twix or Mars

Asher's POV:

I'm trying to stay awake for Bellamy but I didn't get to sleep last night. My parents fight all the time and they aren't exactly quiet. Bellamy and I have gotten into a habit of just staring at each other. Probably looks weird as hell but I don't mind. He doesn't seem to either. It also seems like some sort of agreed upon fact that we don't talk about it and how weird it probably is because it's not weird for us. He's so damn pretty. He has dirty blond hair that falls perfectly on his face and looks amazing with his greenish brown eyes. I just want him closer. I snap out of it when the bell rings and it's time to leave last period. I make my way out of school nodding a quick bye to Isaac who I crossed in the hall and I make my way to the grocery store. Well really I make my way anywhere but home. I wonder if I buy some soda and Twix then i'll be set to just chill at a park somewhere. Maybe Bellamy will call and we can work on the project. Is it bad to say that all I really want to do is spend time with him and know every small thing about him? 

I make my way into the grocery store and freeze as I see Bellamy trying to decide what peppers to take. Now how's that for a coincidence. I walk up to him and say:

"I'm more of a chocolate guy myself but I admire the healthy lifestyle"

He jumps and takes a moment to say.

"Jesus Asher! You scared the shit outta me." He takes a moment to think and says: "Hey, what are you doing here?"

I totally forgot that the grocery store wasn't exactly the most popular place to hang out and I blurt out:

"Uh.. you know?.. Getting my Twix fix." I say motioning towards the candy isle.

"Ah I see you're a Twix kinda guy" He says pretending to be disappointed.

"You gotta problem with Twix?" I say pretending to be offended.

"Well not necessarily.. it's just Mars is far better"

"Pardon? Excuse me? HM? Mars??? You think Mars is better than TWIX???" 

He looks at me, straightens his posture and says: 

"Yes"

Absolute power move, I think as I smile.

"Tell you what" He continues. "If you don't have plans i'll buy you both Mars and Twix and we can decide which one is better at the park while working on our project. Two in one type thing"

"Efficient and delicious" I reply.

He smiles and says:

"Okay I still gotta bring these bad boys home" He says referring to the groceries. "But i'll meet you at the park in 30?"

"I'll be there."

He goes to pay for his groceries and I leave the store wondering what I should do for a half hour. I could already make my way to the park. Waste time there. It's the only idea I've got so I go with it. I walk towards the park taking my time and once I get there I pick a bench and look around and notice that there isn't really anyone there so I pop in my earbuds and start listening to music and I drift asleep.

"ASHER!"

I wake up startled. "Hm?!"

"Jesus dude be careful sleeping in parks"

CRAP. "I fell asleep??? Fuck"

"Don't worry this place is like empty. Why are you so tired anyway?"

Damn I've been dreading that question and that conversation. I really don't want to freak him out so I settle for a half truth.

"Didn't sleep well last night"
