(Sonic's POV)
Great news that Silver and Shadow gave me. They finally found an abandoned place deep in the woods that was made somewhere in the late 1890s. Finally, my prayers have been answered because I was sick and tired of living in a filthy, smelly guano, bat cave.
"It's about time you guys. Do you have any idea how torturing it is to be in this cave?" I said.
"Yeah, we know. You've been whining nonstop for 200 years and now, I'm glad you're in a better mood when we gave you the news." Shadow said with a look of disgust.
"Thank you, dad. You made my life filled with excitement." I teased Shadow like he's my father.
"Yeah, don't push it because I won't do something nice for you again." Shadow looked away at me trying to make a cute begging face.
I chuckled at his reaction but I didn't care if he knows that I'm happy or not. All that matters now is living in a place like a real hedgehog being I am than an animal living in the wild. I followed my guardians to the abandoned house deep in the woods at night while the moonlight shines down to give us a better view in the woods.
It didn't take long until we arrived at the house, it looked like some kind of a worn-down mansion, abandoned long ago. Sure, some windows were cracked up in places and vines growing but this will do with some modifications and repairs. I sure hope there's no ghost haunting the place because I don't believe in ghosts and I don't want to believe it. All I believe is being in a comfortable place, away from being dirty and also away from crawling bugs in the wild. I wonder what made his mansion abandoned all those years ago. Either the owner died or he or she left the place for a new one but didn't bother to sell it. At least it's free which I'm happy about.
"We checked the place and it's not haunted, just old and dusty inside." Shadow said.
"We better get ready to clean up a bit, shall we?" Silver suggested.
"I clean with speed and don't try to stop me, boys." I smirked.
"Oh boy." Shadow gave a sigh as we went inside the mansion.
In less than an hour we cleaned up most of the mansion but I did it in record time with my speed. It made me laugh when Shadow is grumpy because I can't sit still for long because I'm too cocky to listen to him.
"Come on! Can't you be slow for once?!" He complained.
"Well that's why I'm called Sonic." I said to him.
"Doesn't mean that you have to obey the meaning of your name." Shadow scoffed and continues sweeping the dust with a broom.
"Basically." I shrugged and moved some furniture aside to new spaces.
There are a few rats crawling around and I hate them. Oh god! I haven't had blood for like 4 hours and my hunger is rising a bit, making my fangs sharper. Stay strong, Sonic. Don't go savage like last time.
"Uhh....guys? I'm gonna go out for a bit." I quickly grabbed weapons and jumped out the open window and heading into the woods, hoping there's an evil vampire looking for me.
I am not in the mood to fight them but I am in the mood to hunt them as my prey. Damn it! Shut up you stupid hunger! Stay strong Sonic. Don't let hunger make you attack anything that moves.
But soon I noticed something moving in the bushes. I don't detect any pulse or heartbeat from my vampire ability, it's gotta be one of them.
"Come out you savage!" I held my weapon to aim at whatever is gonna come out of the bush.
