The Executioner

(Sonic's POV)

I woke up around 5pm and I can see that the sun is setting down from the window. Man, I really need more sleep during the day but I'm always active with a little sleep. I got out of bed, putting my shoes on and putting on my hooded cloak. I head out of the bedroom and into the kitchen to see Amy cooking something what smells like steak.

"Good evening Sonikku." Amy saw me.

"Hey beautiful. I smell steak and it smells delicious." I said and sat down at the kitchen table.

"Yes, It's tenderloin steak." Amy said.

"Like beef tenderloin?" I asked curiously.

"Yes, my favorite." Amy said.

"Yum. So, how's Iris while I was asleep?" I asked as Amy brought steak on plates for both of us.

"Doing good. She slept peacefully." Amy said.

"Great. I wonder what she dreamt of." I guessed.

"Perhaps to be a vampire hunter like you." Amy chuckled and joined with me to eat dinner.

"Maybe." I chuckled.

The steak tasted delicious and I was kind a hungry for normal food which I really needed. And when night comes, it's time to hunt vampire blood but I got to see if Silver and Shadow are okay. I always tell them to stay away from the sunlight and not worry about me being in the daylight.

"Man, this is delicious. I really gotta try other food than just the ones I always eat at the Indian village" I said and continue eating.

"What did they have?" Amy asked.

"Corn on a cob, drumsticks, and mostly sundaes for dessert. I can still remember their old ways until they moved to the modern century." I said, drinking ginger ale.

"Well from different animals like deer, fish or boars. Indians hunt those kinds of animals for meat." Amy said.

"Yeah, Silver and Shadow fed me fish meat to keep me alive as a kid. And when I was ready to meet the Indian villagers, they brought me to them and they told me about my mortal father. As years went by, every chief ancestor taught me archery. I became more human like them. Kind a like how your kind became more human." I said, finishing up my dinner and wiped my chin with a napkin.

"I see. Well good luck with vampire hunting, sweetie." Amy said, seeing me putting on my hood.

"Thanks, and tell Iris that Dada will come back again. And thanks for the dinner, it was delicious." I said and kissed her on the cheek.

"I'm glad you enjoyed my cooking, Dark Robin Hood." Amy said with a little tease.

"Oh Amy" I shook my head playfully with a smile and left.

Back at the mansion I saw Shadow and Silver using crossbows for practice.

"Hey Shadow and Mom." I said and Silver looks annoyed when I call him Mom.

He remained calm and took a deep breath, "How was school today, sweetie?" He teased me back.

"Great. My new girlfriend and daughter are doing good." I said.

"Looks like our adoptive son is becoming more human than ever." Shadow said.

"Yeah, like his real father. Anyways, while you were away and it was very cloudy for 2 hours at daytime, we woke up early to do crossbow practice." Silver said, putting the crossbow aside.

"You guys aren't jealous that I can walk in daylight? I collected calendars related to daylight last year for you guys to see what daylight is like." I said, going into the fridge to grab tomato juice box.
