(Sonic's POV)

The next day I was watching the sun setting down a little, getting as much vitamin D in my body for my mortal side of my health. I stared at the dagger that belonged to my mother, she probably knew that one day I would kill evil vampires to avenge her but for centuries, it seemed endless like nothing is bringing me peace. Amy was right, revenge is not always the answer but I can't help feel my hatred on vampires for killing my parents. Lord Dracula will suffer my wrath when I find him and I'll swear his death will be suffering.

"I thought I find you here." A familiar voice said behind me.

"What do you want, Shadow?" I sighed.

"I know you saw the portrait of your parents. Silver was once a portrait artist and a vampire historian." Shadow said.

"What's your point?" I asked.

"The point is that Silver and I were once Lord Dracula's servants but he had so many brides that we were gonna choose, he steals every woman as their brides he can find and just leaves them in the dust like they meant nothing to him. Your mother was very beautiful and kind than any other vampire and he wanted her as his bride but she refused and he grew angry that he killed her entire family. So, Silver and I left his clan and joined your mother to live a peaceful life." Shadow explained his story.

"So that's why she fell in love with my father and had me, she wanted a family of her own." I guessed.

"Yes, until Dracula grew jealousy that he wanted to kill your parents. Your mother wanted to destroy Dracula but she couldn't bear to do it because he's very strong and very powerful. He lived for over 1500 years and no one has ever killed him." Shadow said.

"But I will, returning the favor he did!" I said.

"Have you ever faced him or know what he really does?" Shadow asked.

"I'm ready to face him. And when I do, I'll have his heart in my grip." I said coldly I never felt so before.

"Careful, Sonic. If your heart becomes dark, your lady friend would see you as a monster. Do you want that?" Shadow asked.

"No. But if that's the case we'll fight him together." I said.

"I thought you're a lone wolf." Shadow chuckled.

"I am but I hunt like a wolf than a bat. Tell me what you used to be before you left the vampire clan." I asked.

"I used to do séance." Shadow replies.

"What is that?" I asked.

"Seance means contacting spirits." Shadow explained.

"You can contact my parents?" I asked again.

"Basically yes. Unless you're scared of the dead." Shadow chuckled darkly.

"Hello? You and Silver are undead. Dead or undead, I don't get scared." I said fearlessly.

"Then trust me on this" Shadow replied and goes to speak with the spirits with a crystal ball. "Sonic's parents, hear my voice, come to your living son." Shadow said to the crystal ball which summon two ghost orbs.

They took the shape of hedgehogs and there my parents stood there, looking alive but see-through like a ghost.

"Sonic." Mom spoke out.

"Mother?" I gasped.

"Yes. Our little boy." Mom said.

"You've grown I see." Dad said.

I can't believe it. They look just like the portrait that Silver showed me.

"Mom, Dad. I've missed you two so much." I walked up to them.
