Chapter 4

"Where the hell have you been???" Elena snapped.

"I'm I-" Jenna came in right after Elena. "Jenna! Heyyyy."

"You skipped school???"

"Well you see-"

"I mean any other day I would get it but on the first day of school? What the hell Brianna?"

"Ok you know what. I am sick and tired of this."

Jenna scoffed. "Excuse me?"

"You know what to ground me? Go ahead."

"Ok you-"

"But that doesn't change the fact that your sweet precious Elena has been lying to you."

"What are you talking about?"

"You know all those times I was late for school?"

"Of cour-"

"Of course I do!" Jenna rolled her eyes, annoyed with me cutting her off. "Well it wasn't because I made Elena or Bonnie stop so that I could go shopping or get breakfast. It was because all of those times Elena left without me! Causing me to have to walk to school which takes 30 minutes."

"Elena is this true?" Jenna asks.

"What? No!" She said defensively.

"It's true." Jeremy said.

"Where did you come from?" Elena asked.

"Um the living room. Also Bri is telling the truth. She would have to text me to come back and drive her to school."

Jenna looked at me. "Why didn't you tell me sooner?"

"I tried! But every time you said you didn't want to hear it!"

"Jeremy?" She turned to him.

"I tried too. But you thought I was in on it."

"Oh wow." She said. "Bri, I am so sorry."

"Don't worry Jenna. It's fine."

"But you still skipped school so your grounded for 4 days."

"Got it." I started to walk to my room.

"Elena your grounded for 2 weeks." I giggled.

"What???" She replied.

"Sorry!" Jenna said. Then walked away.

*30 minutes later"
I got ready for work at the grill. "Hey Jer, do you need a ride to the grill?" I asked.

"No but I do!" Elena said grabbing her car keys

"Aren't you grounded?" I asked glaring at her.

"Hey Jenna can I go ahead go to the store and get whatever is on the list? The grill is on my way, I can drop Bri off!"

Jenna walked up and handed her the list. "Be back in an hour or I'm calling." She said.

"Ok!" She gave me an innocent grin. "Come on! Your going to be late!"

I narrowed my eyes at her and walked to the car.

I had been working for almost an hour now. I looked over and Elena, Caroline, Bonnie and the new kid at school. I smiled knowing that in a few minutes Jenna would call me.

"Hey Bri." Said a familiar voice.

I jumped and turned around. I let out a sigh of relief when I saw who it was.

"I though I told you to stop doing that." I said.

"Well I wouldn't do it if you you weren't so jumpy." He smirked.
