Chapter 20

BRIANNA'S POV

I heard a beeping sound. It started out very faint but slowly started getting louder and louder. I felt as if I was laying on a very uncomfortable bed. Where was I? I wasn't breathing, or at least it didn't feel like it. Am I dead??? Everything was black and I was panicking. 

I forced my eyes open and started gasping for air. Bad idea. As soon as I took my first breath, I felt a sharp pain in my stomach. I winced in pain.

Damon: Hey. Shhh. Calm down. It's okay. 

Me(Bri): What happened? Where is everyone?

Damon: Elena and Jeremy had to leave with Jenna to get ready for some plan your future thingy. 

Me(Bri): I thought that wasn't until Friday.

 He smirked.

Damon: It is Friday.

I looked outside the window and saw that it was light outside.

Me(Bri): I was out for 2 days?

Damon: Yeah. The doctors said there was a good chance you wouldn't wake up for a while. Like a comma. We were starting to believe it but turns out you're here.

Me(Bri): Wow.

Damon: Yeah. So... What happened? Last night.

I thought for a moment.

Me(Bri): Um. Well, it was right after you helped me with my arm. I saw this creature. It was all white, it had long sharp teeth, long legs, and arms with claws. It stabbed me.

Damon: Wow.

Me(Bri): That's not all. The same creature was in my dreams. It attacked me. It scratched and cut me.

Damon: Shit. Is that what caused them?

Me(Bri): I think. That still doesn't explain how it got from my dreams to real life.

Damon: Right. We will figure that out.

Me(Bri): So, what have I missed?

Damon: Well, I got the crystal.

Me(Bri): Which is?...

Damon: Oh right. It is going to help me get Katherine.

Me(Bri): Oh.

I suddenly felt the tiniest bit jealous. God, I just wish these feelings would go away. WHO EVEN HAS FEELINGS FOR SOMEONE THEY BARELY EVEN KNOW????

Damon: Thy crystal was going to help me get into the tomb, where Katherine is.

Me(Bri): Was?

Damon: Right. Bonnie, well Emily, destroyed it. Blew it to bits.

Me(Bri): Okay. Who the hell is Emily? 

Damon: She is on of Bonnie's ancestors. I knew her in 1864. Basically, Elena, Caroline and witchy had a seance last night to call on Emily. 

Me(Bri): Wait Caroline knows?

Damon: No. I'm not really sure what was happening. Anyways, Emily possessed Bonnie, and she took the crystal and blew it up.  Therefore, no Katherine. I also kind of..... bit.. Bonnie.

Me(Bri): DAMON!

Damon: Well, I didn't kill her! And if I wanted to, I would've.

Me(Bri): That doesn't make it okay.

Damon: But- whatever. Also, there is a new vampire in town.

Me(Bri): When am I getting out?

Damon: Umm. I don't know. I could-

Me(Bri): Can't you just compel them? Or are you going to mess that up too?

I immediately regretted saying that. 

Damon: Um. No, yeah. I can.

Me(Bri): Thanks.

I continued to get ready while Damon was with on of the doctors. When I first stood up, it stung for a minute but it actually felt a lot better than I had expected. I changed into son new clothes. Damon came back after a while.

Damon: Alright. You ready to go?

Me(Bri): Thank you. 

Damon: No problem.

I was about to apologize for what I had said to him earlier, but before I could he pulled out his phone and started calling someone. 

Me(Bri): Who are you calling?

Damon: Caroline.

Me(Bri): No. Absolutely not! No.

I walked over to him and grabbed his phone.

Damon: Hey!

I pressed the red button. 

Me(Bri): You do not get to talk to Caroline, okay? Not after what you did to her.

Damon: I need her to help me do something!

Me(Bri): Then let me do it! I will not let Caroline get involved with you, whether she or you like it or not.

He sighed.

Me(Bri): Either I do it, or no one does. It's simple.

I handed his phone to him. He quickly grabbed the phone.

Damon: Fine.

I grabbed my things and we started walking to his car.
