Warming Up

"Keep you?" my words left my lips softly, pulling away to look at a straight-faced Taehyung.

He didn't respond but instead pulled in once more, just enough to be centimeters away. I shivered at his touch since he was so abnormally warm. I looked down in embarrassment knowing even though he's a hybrid, he is also a very handsome man.

I thought to myself though, if I were going to really adopt him, would I be able to afford it? A grown man...

A grown man!

"Listen to me. We have to compromise here if you would like me to adopt you." I snapped, going into a serious mood. Money is very important especially in the dire situation I am currently stuck in.

His ears perked at my serious tone. More in amusement as his tail wagged a lot, I'm pretty sure he was very interested in the task I'm going to give him.

"You aren't disabled right?" I said genuinely seriously, just to hear him break into a laughing attack and literally drop to the floor. In response, I pouted and put my hands on my hips in annoyance.

He got up to sit criss-cross, still beneath me initiating the conversation again, "What makes you think that?" He responded mid-laugh, holding his stomach as he started to giggle once more but more subtly.

"Well because I'm going to need you to have a job. Help me, help you. I'm not rich and if you are able to work and cover up your hybrid features, you can live comfortably with me. Don't worry, I'll take care of any mess and such as bills and stuff so don't worry about that." I reached my hand over to help the man beneath me with perked cat ears, listening attentively at my small but serious speech.

He grabbed me just to almost throw me off at how heavy he surprisingly was and all that to tower over me once more.

"How great it is to be 5'5 to an almost 6-foot tall man," I said under my breath, just to be met with another burst of laughter. Shit, I forgot he had enhanced abilities.

I slapped my forehead as my face turned red once in embarrassment, my serious facade wiped and clear from my appearance.

Little did I know, Taehyung was inching closer and closer to me, and suddenly the aura changed from laughter to quiet and loving.

My body was met once more with very strong body heat and broad chest as Taehyung hugged me again, but this time he rubbed my back soothingly out of nowhere. "I will do whatever you need me to do. I just don't want to go back to my old life. Please keep me safe." He moved down back to my chest, nuzzling into the crook of my neck.

"Of course I will keep you safe. You'll be mine once we get the paperwork done tomorrow okay?" He nodded in my neck. And as he did, his lips brushed against my Eve's apple, making my peach fuzz stick up in tiny surprise.

But even with all of that, I was tired and had work tomorrow. We had to call it a day.

"Let's go to bed, honey."

I groggily lifted myself up as I felt myself overwhelmingly hot, turning over to a large cat. Or in other words, Taehyung.

Usually, he wouldn't be this hot but when he's in animal form, it's next level warmth.

"Honey?" I leaned over him, scratching his ears softly earning a loud purr come from his throat.

I usually would leave my hair up but yesterday I let my hair down. Though it was frizzy because my hair is curly and I decided to leave it down last night, it still was long enough to softly brush Taehyung's nose, causing him to scrunch his nose.

His eyes slowly fluttered open and his dark brown eyes turned into a bright yellow as he looked at me, making me chuckle.

I got up from my leaning position and turned around to get up for work, stretching and letting my hair flow behind me.

"Your hair smells nice, Violet." I stopped mid-stretch and an awkward smile appeared on my face while I turned around to thank him, just to be faced with a human form Taehyung clothed, but shirtless.

I practically threw myself off the bed in embarrassment, just to get caught and put into a large chest again.

"What's wrong?" He asked unknowingly and looked down at me piercingly, making my heart jump.

I looked everywhere else but his face, and I could feel the irritation come off of him.

"I have to get ready for work. I just wanted to tell you so I could make you breakfast, honey." I said, but this time my usual nickname for him drowned out.

I was still stuck in his embrace and he wouldn't let me go, even when I started squirming under him.

"Look at me." He said dominantly, making me snap my head to look into his beautiful gold irises.

"Good." He lowly said and let me go softly. I stood in my place for another solid 5 seconds in confusion thinking about what just happened, just to jump up looking at the time.

I ran right past my shirtless hybrid and threw on clothes and did my daily hygiene things, skipping breakfast, and making a bowl of cereal for Taehyung.

And with that I threw my shoes on, remembering I forgot my phone in my bedroom. I got up and spun just to crash into Taehyung again. I swear his footsteps weren't audible.

"Missing this?" He said teasingly, putting my phone in the air where I couldn't reach.

"Yes, I am missing that! Now please give it back Tae!" He didn't budge but cocked his head to the side in fake thought.

"How about this, give me a goodbye kiss and I might just give you your phone and let you go.." he leaned in closer, making my face turn rosy.

"Just give it!"

"No"

"Now!" I started to raise my voice a little, his voice staying as calm as ever with such a punchable grin.

"I gave you an option, Jagi." I gave up and went for it myself, jumping on him to grab my phone.

"I don't have time for this Taehyung!" I said, wrapping my legs around his waist and reaching towards his hand.

I heard muffles down by my chest area, but I could care less before I get fired for being late.

I felt him weaken under me, giving me my chance to grab my phone.

Once I did, I looked down to see that my boobs were right in his face the whole time, making me giggle.

I jumped down and sped off, I couldn't give him a chance to hold me back once more.
