I woke up next to my sleeping hybrid and softly scratched his ears as he slept. My hair dangled from my shoulders, looking down at his beautiful features.

I smiled, thinking of how my life would have been without him by my side. If I didn't meet him in that alley. If I didn't notice those gangsters when I did. What would have happened without him? What would have happened to him? What happened to him before I met him?

The thought was something common to me. What if?

While looking at his cute beauty mark on his nose, I booped his nose causing him to slowly open his eyes. "Good morning, beautiful." He said groggily and lowly, making my heart almost jump out of my chest.

"Good morning, honey," I said quietly, leaning in to give him a small morning kiss. "I was wondering.." I said, almost trailing off. "You were wondering?" He replied, playing with my hair.

"I was thinking about a bunch of what if's and your past," I said softly, looking down at the man who looked at me with such loving but piercing eyes. "My past?" He chuckled painfully, his eyes turning into a very dark brown that could've been mistaken for black.

I nodded my head, still looking at him carefully. "You don't have to tell me if you don't want to, but I want to understand you more," I said to him, laying back down to cuddle with him.

I rested my head on his chest, hearing his rapid heartbeat as he contemplated where to start. "Well, if anything my childhood was pretty depressing." He said in thought, still playing with my hair. "I was born in the streets and grew up on them practically until I got put into an adoption center. My mom was killed in front of me by a pack of wolf hybrids...I never met my dad." He kept going,

"When I got put into an adoption center, I made mostly enemies. I often got into fights and nobody wanted me for a long time. That was when I first got adopted. She was at first a nice lady. Everybody just wanted me out and gave me to her. Nobody cared if she was a good fit or anything and that's why I'm so afraid of trusting people now. She had money to keep people's mouth shut about what she did to the hybrids in her house." He said calmly, heartbeat going slow again. To give him a bit more comfort, I wrapped my leg around his waist and rubbed his back.

"She used us as sex toys and entertainment. She didn't care about us and knew how to manipulate new hybrids when they first get adopted to not tell anybody. She normalized her abuse and torture and nobody suspected it to be wrong except for me and my friend, Jungkook. We tried to escape numerous times just to get pulled back and abused..." he started to trail off, getting tense at the last part.

"Me and Jungkook..we decided to kill her." He said calmly but I could feel the guilt crawl off of him. "I could never forget the blood that day. How crazy I turned. I didn't feel like myself." He said, resting his head on top of mine as he silently cried remembering the past.

"I left Jungkook on his own and supposedly now he got adopted. I'm glad that he's doing well now, but I still feel guilt. I went crazy that day and killed more than just that lady. I killed hybrids, humans and anybody in my way. I even almost hurt my best friend."

"I regret what I did. Deeply. If anything that I've learned is that murder is never the answer no matter the situation. I can't ever forget all the blood and body remains I left that day. Never." He openly sobbed as he finished, making my heart hurt hearing how much pain the man I love has endured.

"I understand if you don't like me anymore, but I feel like you need to know now.." he said quietly in between sobs, making my heart clench.

"I still love you, honey. Don't ever think like that. You have never hurt me and have always been there for me. That's all I need. Thank you for telling me, my love." I said softly, getting up to shower him with kisses.

"I understand a lot more and I'm proud of you for telling me. I know it's not easy to just share that kind of stuff." Gingerly, I looked at him with a small smile, observing all of his handsome features. I wiped his tears and layed back down next to him.

"Thank you." He replied, looking down at me with the cutest smile I've ever seen.

"Of course. Don't ever be scared to tell me anything. I'm here for you honey."

We sat there together for a short period of time just comforting each other until another question popped into my head, face brightening up at him curiously.

"But...I was wondering how old are you, hun?" I curiously asked, kicking my feet softly. "I'm 23, why do you ask?" He replied, making my face look sort of surprised. "I'm 21. So this whole time you were older than me?" I said jokingly.

Taehyung laughed with me, his boxy smile coming out cheerfully. As I was laughing, I heard loud footsteps run into my house.

Taehyung heard first and got up, his ears perking at the sound. He opened the door to my best friend, Summer, running around in circles with a bunch of bags in her hands.

"Are you a psycho or something?" Taehyung said coldly at her as if he wasn't just a whole different person in front of me.

I got up in my sports bra and gray sweats to back hug Taehyung and peek to look at a shocked Summer. "You two are sooo dating huh?" She said pointing at the both of us. I looked up to see Taehyung look calm and composed and just nod.

We never made anything official but I guess we are girlfriend and boyfriend..? I just nodded along, pressing my cheek on Taehyung's arm.

"Oh my gosh, you two are so adorable. I have to make a party or something about this!! I'm inviting a bunch of people and everything!" She said stunningly and embarrassingly, running around in circles again and again.

I went up to her and grabbed her, looking at the bags she had in her hands. "What are those bags?" I asked, reaching for one of them to see a bunch of clothes, hygiene products and another bag full of groceries.

"Well, I found a place for you two that is affordable." She reached for her purse to pull out two keys, handing them to me and Taehyung. "You guys can move in whenever you want. The place is fully furnished and the first two months of rent is covered." She said delightfully dancing around.

"And don't thank me because thanking somebody is stupid and annoying. Go move in already and have kids!" She said jokingly, making my face turn into a bright red.

I grabbed her just for her to get out of my hold and run, making me chase her for the last thing she said. Kids with Taehyung? The thought is just a lot right now.

I can't believe this girl.

"Summer!!!"
