"Sorry, I'm a little late!" I ran into my workplace, bowing immediately to my co-worker, Jimin.
"No problem, kitten." He replied with a large smile on his face. He's the only reason that I have an ounce of motivation to go to work other than well, of course, my paycheck.
Even so, I quickly clocked in and put on my work outfit. Since I was a barista, my place was very important to the business so I was making sure to get everything done efficiently and swiftly.
As Jimin kept on taking orders for me and I made drinks, the crowds got smaller as time went on.
Luckily for me, there were primarily mobile orders coming in. This gave me some free time to clean up my area.
I went to reach for my phone to check how much longer I have to work, just to feel a soft hand come over mine.
I turned my head slightly to be met with my friend's face resting on my shoulder, whispering what I needed to hear.
"Only 30 minutes left till we're done for the day." He said softly, draping his arms loosely around my waist.
Since we were best friends and I knew for sure he's just a big flirt and is super touchy, I didn't think too much about it and simply nodded my head in agreement, sighing from the long day.
I raised my hand and ruffled his hair, mumbling my words out. "I have to go to the adoption center today after work as well," right after I said that, he quickly stood back up and twirled me around, looking at me with large eyes.
"Adoption center? You're only 21! How can you raise a kid right now?" he said stunned, rocking my shoulders back and forth.
"I'm not adopting a child, I'm adopting a grown man! A hybrid!" I said quite barely as he kept shaking me.
"Stop shaking me!" Right when I said that, he stopped and let me speak.
"He's a stray I met in an alley but he seems nice pretty far. I think I'll able to manage him somehow. Trust me." I said to him hopingly convincing him everything will be fine.
He sighed and put a hand through his hair, resting his other hand on his hip. "I trust you, but be careful with those hybrids. They can be dangerous you know. I'm just trying to look out for you, kitten" he said to me with puppy eyes, not even being super stern about it, just concerned.
"Thank you, Jimin," I replied softly, giving him a toothly smile as I returned back to my work.

"I'm home!" I called, taking my shoes off at the door. I heard large footsteps come from the hallway to be thrown into a large hug.
"You're home! It felt like forever!" I heard him muffle in my sweater, making me chuckle and rub his back comfortingly. "Yes, I'm back. I wouldn't just leave you, hun." I muttered.
I heard sniffs come from my hybrid as he moved away, looking at me straight-faced. I raised an eyebrow at the way he looked so mad all of a sudden. "Is there a problem..?" I said softly, confused at why he just went from happy to see me to looking stubbornly mad.
"Why do you smell like another male...It smells gross." He said piercingly, fists tightening next to his hips. I got up and stood tall, thinking of all the people I've been with today.
"Hmm...oh yeah! My friend Jimin was all over me. He usually does that haha." I said calmly trying to get that frown wiped off his face, but it did no good. "Why are you mad honey? He's just a friend of mine."
He sighed, looking spaced out. I think he was trying to calm himself down somehow, but his animal senses almost won the best of him. "Oh yeah! I have an appointment to get you adopted today! I have a friend who works there. He'll make sure to get this stuff sorted out easier." Without warning, I grabbed my shoes and put them on again and then snatched Taehyung's hand, leading him out the door with me. He was already dressed when he ran into me.
