Jefferson's POV: ⚠️TW: F SLUR⚠️

(prepare yourself, this one's a bit longer)

I sit in my office, wondering if I should check on Alexander. He's so nice to me... why? I hear a knock at my door.
"It's unlocked." I say. Madison walks in and sits down. He looks pissed. Really pissed.
"Hey Madison-" I start. He still looks pissed. Still looks very pissed.
"Cut the chit-chat. What were you doing?" he says angrily. I look at him in confusion.
"What do you mean-?" I ask. He rolls his eyes and slams his hands on my desk.
"What the actual fuck were you doing with Hamilton in here?" he says, more angrily than last time. I get scared and move back in my chair.
"He wanted to talk about the financial plan but I had to organize my things so he told me a little bit about the plan and then organized all my books for me & then he left." I said. "Why do you care anyways?" Madison raised an eyebrow. Then he looked disappointed, like he had lost a bet or something. He sighed and then said:
"Doesn't matter why-"
"Tell me why." I interrupted. He got up then walked towards the door and stopped.
"Don't be a faggot, got it?" Madison said as he left my office. He then slammed the door behind him.

I sit at my desk, I almost started to cry. But I can't. I'm not... what Madison said. And if I am why is it any of his business?! I take a deep breath and try to contain myself. I take out a piece of paper and start writing. Washington says Alexander does it all the time, why not try? I write out my thoughts about being... what Madison said. I wrote it as a letter to "whomever this may concern". It felt good to get my emotions out through paper.

I hear another knock at my door and I expect it to be Madison again.
"I-It's unlocked." I stammer. George Washington walks in with a stack of papers.
"Mr. Jefferson, I need you to fill out all of these papers by tomorrow." Washington said. I stared at him and laughed.
"Mr. President, it's five in the evening. I'm supposed to get all these done today?!?" I say as I laugh, but Washington doesn't. He puts the stack of papers on my desk in front of me and leaves, shutting the door on his way out. I let out a large sigh knowing that this will take me all night.

I sit in my office, not even a quarter of the way done the papers. It's all signing and writing about my time in France and such. It's tiring. And exhausting.

I step out of my office to take a break from the papers. I notice Madison leaving Hamilton's office... I assume that from the smug look on Madison's face as he walked down the stairs. I start to go up the stairs and don't get stopped by Madison. Odd but... okay. I walk up and knock on Alexander's door softly as to not disturb him.
"MADISON I SWEAR TO GOD IF YOU COME IN HERE ONE MORE TIME-" he yells. Alexander opens the door and his eyes almost tear up.
"O-Oh my god, I am so sorry Thomas! I didn't mean-" He started.
"It's okay, Alex. Can I come in?" I said softly. He smiled and let me into his office. I walked in as he shut the door behind me.
"Wh-What did you need?" Alexander asked. I looked at him trying to find the right words to say.
"Did uhm... did Madison come in here?" I asked. He looked down and then looked back up. I could tell he was trying not to tear up.
"Yeah... why?" Hamilton said quietly.
"What did he say?" I asked.
"Why do you want to know?" he asked. I looked at him dead in the eyes. I couldn't bare to see him sad.
"Because he came into my office telling me to not be a... a..." I stammered. He looked worried for me.
"He said that to me too... but he came in here twice..." he said, trying to hide one side of his face. I looked confused and moved his head so I could see. There was a bruise and his nose had started bleeding. Now that I think of it, he was covering half of his face the whole conversation.
"What happened?" I asked.
"It doesn't-" he started.
"Tell me. Please." I interrupted. He looked sad and scared. He sighed and said: "Madison smacked me. It hurt. I'm fine though. I-" I stood up immediately with Hamilton right behind me.
"What are you doing? Where are you going?" he asked, panicking. I started to walk down the stairs and Hamilton grabbed me by the wrist. "Hey, what are you doing?!" he asked. I sighed.
"I'm gonna kill that piece of shit." I replied. I ran. I ran towards Madison's office. I won't let him get away with this.
