Chapter 17: The Deal

After three days

Erwin was now commander since Shadis resigned and left him to command, and Levi was promoted to captain.

(Y/N) after the last expedition was still sleeping in the infirmary of the headquarters, not wanting to go back to the house she shared with Elsa, whose body was 5 feet under the ground, in the cemetery.

Once she woke up, the Dragon Slayer saw the commander and a captain on the room sitting on the chairs close to her bed, the blonde man was reading some papers and the black-haired man was drinking tea. Sitting up she grabbed the glass of water that was lying beside the bed and waited for them to say something.

As she drank the water, she saw that they were still not speaking to her, just watching her carefully.

-Are you going to just watch me or are you going to speak?- (Y/N) said as she felt uncomfortable under their stares

-We want to know what happened to your team- Erwin said putting the papers on the desk near him

-Isn't it obvious, titans ate them- (Y/N) trailed off, trying to forget those taunting memories

-That, we do know- Erwin stated looking straight into her (e/c) colored eyes -What we want to know is how you seem unharmed and why everything surrounding you was destroyed-

-You will not believe me if I told you what happened- (Y/N) said looking at her hands

-Try me- Erwin challenged

The dragon slayer looked at his eyes for two seconds to then smirk -Do you believe in magic-

Levi clicked his tongue and glared at the woman -Do you think we are stupid?-

-You told me to tell you what happened, and I am telling you magic was part of it- (Y/N) shrugged moving the blankets of the bed so she could sit.

-Sadly (Y/N) we can give you only two options, you tell us now what happened that ended up with the death of your entire team except for you, or we put you in jail until you tell us- Erwin seriously

(Y/N) stood up from the bed -Like I said it was magic-

Levi frowned and stood up from his chair ready to stop her from leaving the room.

After exchanging looks the two men nodded, (Y/N) sighed knowing that she could not leave without a fight, as she saw that Levi stood in front of her.

-Could we please not do this?- The woman asked -I would like to pay my respect to my friend-

-You can if you tell us what happened- Erwin stated

The dragon slayer pursed her lips in thought, she finally decided to leave the infirmary, but as she was moving to go to the door, Levi decided to throw a punch to the back of her neck, to try and knock her, but she in the nick of time turned around and grabbed her wrist before it could touch her neck.

-I will tell you, but now let me leave- (Y/N) said letting Levi's wrist go

Erwin nodded -We will let you go, but we will follow you-

(Y/N) shrugged -That is good to me-

She then started walking out of the room, with the two men following her towards the house she was living, where she grabbed a teddy bear and started walking towards the cemetery.

Once she was on it, she asked where Elsa's tomb was, ignoring that the two men were still following.

Finally, she stood in front of Elsa's tomb, and she looked at the tomb with sad eyes.
