The next following morning after my morning run, I chose to relax around the docks while the sun rose up across the open horizon. The sun hit the water beaming its orange reflection to glisten along the waves. The sight was breathtaking as the morning breeze nipped at my skin wrapping me in a cool blanket.

My legs dangled over the edge of the wood where a huge chunk of wood was broken off from Sadie's breakdown. Thankfully, that could be easily fixed. Chris, however, didn't seem like the type to fix things. That seemed to left in the position of the interns, or Chef. Still, there wasn't much effort put into anything, unless it was for the challenges.

Footsteps were heard against the wood, slowly creeping up behind me as they reached closer as the footsteps became louder. Not even daring to turn around to see who it was, my answer came shortly when Trent was found taking a seat beside me with his acoustic guitar in hand.

He flashed me a quick, subtle smile gesturing toward a warm welcome before propping his instrument up on his lap before tuning the strings to the correct pitch. He strummed quietly as the sun slowly rose higher into the air. Trent began to play a soft tune that turned into a heavier piece. The song was recognizable, realizing what it was. My head swayed to the rhythm as my hands danced in the air enjoying the music with a hum.

I sang quietly along with him while my feet dangled in a dancing swaying motion. Trent started singing along with me and within the next moment, we were harmonizing with each other. It was a sweet surprise finding that we sounded really good together. My soft soprano-alto voice complimented his strong baritone tone. It was a subtle touch that blended nicely together. It was fun and enjoyable singing with him. It was nice. Things like that were never experienced, so it was really neat to be able to relax and enjoy each other's presence in song.

Trent stopped strumming the strings, lowering the pick in his hand as he released a long sigh of relief. He inhaled deeply, taking in that fresh morning ocean air as he settled his guitar behind him. He was careful to not scratch it as he leaned back, propping himself up with his palms on the wood.

"It was fun singing with you. You've got a pretty voice." Trent complimented.

With a smile, I responded saying, "I was going to say the same about you. Your voice is quite remarkable. One of kind."

"Really? Thanks." His bright green eyes lit up with a dimply smile followed by a slight pink of color toning his cheeks. "We should do this more often. We sound really good together, don't you think?"

I nodded in agreement as I heard the cabin doors slam loudly behind us. We both turn around to see Gwen fighting with a frozen Heather, still shivering from last night's challenge. There was loud shouting involved across the island that was heard all the way down the beach. Their yelling's were distinctively heard but it wasn't articulated enough to understand what they were fighting about. Whatever it was, it was bad.

"I guess Heather is still mad about them about locking them in the freezer." Trent sighed seeming to be adding on to some stress from their shouting alone.

"Oh, that?" I asked. "Yeah, to be honest, I don't blame her. Even if Heather was making everyone's blood pressure rise, six hours in there would of course make anyone go nuts. Well, if they don't get pneumonia  first."

"That's true."

Trent got up to his feet, picking up his guitar to put the strap over his shoulder. He reached out a free hand for me to take, helping me up as we watched the dispute over by the cabins. It was loud and disruptive waking up the other competitors. Everyone began to groan and complain between the incessive shouting.

"Well, I'm still glad to say that I'm not on your team. Too much female drama." I stated plainly with a shake of my head is disapproval. "I would sleep outside. Gwen hates me."
