There was a knock on the door. Heather rolled her eyes, immediately annoyed by having to get out of her bunk since she was the closest since Lindsay wasn't here to do it for her. Heather couldn't use Lindsay as her little slave anymore. However, her cheerful presence was missed though.

Heather opened the door to reveal Duncan at the entryway with a smirk playing on his lips. He leaned against the door frame almost appearing a little bored.

"What?" Heather sneered, clearly not interested into whatever was about to be said. Duncan stepped forward into the cabin gaining the rest of the girl's attention.

"Chris is putting a slasher flick on the big screen if you all wanna come." Duncan pointed a thumb behind to indicate in us following.

"Scary movies?" Gwen asked with a smile. "I'm down."

"Heck yeah!" Izzy shouts before tumbling out of her bed from trying to stand. She bumps her head on the ceiling accidentally, not even wincing, before landing on all her fours on the floor. "Whoo, I got down that fast! Haha! Let's go!"

Naturally, LeShawna shrugs while Gwen has a excited grin before ecstatically jumping out of her bunk to throw on her boots. I sigh, not really a huge fan of horror movies myself. They were never my thing. The darker they are the worst it made me feel inside. Normally, sometimes it would wear off on its own, but they still were never my forte. Anything other than horror and Hallmark would be my go-to especially if it was a classic comedy, or perhaps literally anything else.

"You coming, Sydney?" asked Duncan standing from the entryway. All the other girls had left to go watch the movie.

"Yeah, I guess." I finally get to the side of the bed before picking up my shoes beside me on the floor to slide them on and tightly tie the laces. Getting to my feet, I pass Duncan behind me as he closes the door as we both walk to the campfire pit.

"You don't sound enthusiastic." said Duncan as he began to walk ahead of me. "I figured you'd be into this kind of stuff. Aren't you?"

"No. I could care less about these things." I said with a roll of my eyes.

His head flashed back with a grin. "Aww is the big, bad, tough girl afraid of a little horror flick?"

"Aww is the rude, disgusting, delinquent afraid to get some tweezers for that monobrow?" I mocked back bitterly.

With a frown, I gave one hard push to his back so he would topple over his feet to the ground putting an immediate smile to my face in satisfaction as I walked past him.

He cursed from behind me, attempting to grab me by the ankle to trip myself. For a moment, I stumbled before regaining my composure by swiftly shoving my body forward into a catapult-like front handspring, landing firmly on my feet.

Turning myself back around to an awestruck Duncan, I flexed a peace sign before triumphantly speaking, "You can't touch this," at him before heading back toward the campsite where everyone else was getting situated.

Getting closer, Chris was hooking up the projector to the screen so we could all watch the movie. LeShawna got a bag of popcorn that Chef was handing out at a little popcorn machine. LeShawna turned around with another bag before nicely handing it to me.

"How'd you know, I —?"

"Popcorn always goes with scary movies." LeShawna said nonchalantly with a shrug before finding a seat on the stump.

"Thanks." I said quietly, even though it wasn't heard. With a smile, I decided to sit beside her before Chris started the movie. I almost tripped in front of me from something in front of my foot, if it wasn't for DJ who caught me by the arms. Bits of popcorn went flying around. One popped off DJ's head.
