"I can't believe you made it," Sherry said once I arrived at their home. Skylar had picked me at the bus stop. She didn't want to go home immediately but the luggage was in the way. "You can sleep with me incase you will feel uncomfortable in the guest room," she said happily. "I'm really sorry but I'm going to sleep with Skyalar," I said feigning hurt. I really wanted to sleep with Skyalar I was closer to her than I was with Sherry though they were both my very good friends. "Are you coming with us?" I asked. "Are you guys going somewhere?" She asked. I was surprised that Skylar hadn't told her anything about our plans. "Yeah, we are going to tour around town and later we are going to grab dinner with some guys. I thought Skylar told you about it," I said with a confused face. "Oh yeah, I get it. Skylar didn't want to tell me because she knows we are having wedding rehearsals. She is planning on skipping again," she said walking out of her room. I knew better than to go after her because I knew they were in for a heated argument. Skylar was always doing as she pleased as Sherry obeyed all orders and hardly made any mistakes. I hated interfering because I didn't know whose side to take. They all want me to side with them which is impossible so I keep out incase they are arguing about something. I decided to have a look at the different snaps that were in Sherry's room. Her room was really beautiful and neat. That's what I expected though she was really mrs.neat. I hadn't been to Skylar's room yet but I knew it wouldn't be this organised. "Harley, tell Skylar that you cant let her miss the wedding rehearsals. We just have one more day and she hardly knows the steps and organisation but she still wants to dodge," Sherry whined. This is it, this is exactly why I didn't want to join them in Skylar's room. So they had to follow me here. "Uh, pardon," I said pretending not to have heard. "Let her not bother you Harley. Let's go already," Skylar said. "Skylar!" Sherry yelled. "What, it's not like it's run way modelling. I can follow your steps or any other person. I'm not even totally clueless of what we are going to do. Don't worry I'll not miss tomorrow I promise," Skylar said pulling me after her. "By the way Sherry, we have a dinner ensure to catch up with us later after your boring rehearsals," she said just as we left.
I loved everything about their town. It was peaceful and beautiful. The people too were very friendly and it also had lots of super hot guys. "How do you handle all this heat?" I fanned myself once a pretty guy winked at me. "Told you girl, that's why I have a rough time settling. The heat is just too much," She said using my exact words. We laughed at our craziness. She took me to her friends and the group mostly comprised of guys. I was not shocked though that was more of Skylar. It was fun hanging out. They were very good dancers and they taught me some of their dance moves. We took lots of photographs and videos. It was really fun and I felt lively. For once in a longtime, I didn't have to worry about anything and I simply just lived the moment. "So, since Harley is new here, she is going to have a chance to pick any of the guys to be her date tonight," said one of the guys. He must have been the alpha male of the group because everything about him communicated power and authority. He was simply a Greek god. If I was going to dine with any of them it was going to be him. It was actually hard to pick from a bunch of astonishingly hot guys. Their physique was perfect and they all had pretty faces. "Harley, make a choice," Skylar whined. "How am I supposed to choose when everyone looks so yummy," I joked licking my lips. "You're so crazy, I know you already have a choice just say. By the way the guy you want is very single so don't hesitate," she whispered winking. Sometimes I can't help wondering how Skylar got me all figured out. I stood up as everyone eagerly waited for who I were to choose. I sauntered towards the alpha male and stood there. I didn't know what to do after that. He stood up and whispered, "I was hoping you do choose me, trust me you won't regret this." His voice held so much power but I didn't even shiver or get affected by his seductive voice. His breath tickled my ears but that was all.
"Are we going to dine with all those guys?" I asked once we were changing. "Not really it's just going to be us and our dates and maybe Sherry, that's if she shows up," Skylar said.

"Guess who is calling?" Skylar said shaking her phone in front of me so that I could see. "Kayden, why would he even call?" I asked her. "There is only one way to find out," she winked and picked it up. "Why do you care," she said into the phone. Her tone was rough but I knew she was just faking it. "That's not my problem. You're nothing in her life and you have no right to dictate what I should and shouldn't do with her. I'll do every damn thing I want with her. You chose your path so deal with it," she said disconnecting. I was excited to know about everything in detail. Hardly had Skylar put the phone down when I asked, "what were you guys clashing about?" She giggled and stepped into a shower. I knew she was going to make me work for it. I waited anxiously for her to get out. She was smiling like a wicked witch and it drove me nuts. "Can you just tell me already," I whined. "First help me with my hair," she laughed. "Seriously, you are unbelievable." I said picking a brush. "You're even going to sleep," I lamented. "If you want it then you have got to work for it," she said giggling. "Ok, pray hard I never get a chance to revenge," I cursed combing her hair. "Can you tell me now?" I asked all my patience completely lost. "Relax girl, he was only saying I should not let you hang out with random guys because according to him, you may get into trouble." She said sniggering. "Wait something is not adding up, how did he know that you are making me hang out with guys?" I asked. "Oh, about that, I sort of posted a video of you dancing and a few pictures of our dinner," she said with a puppy face because she thought I was going to scold her. "Wow, I actually didn't think about that. I'm sure that will help him snap back to reality. That was so nice of you," I said doing a victory dance. "You're not upset?" She asked her face completely displaying confusion. "Why would I be. It clearly shows he is jealous and that might be the push he needs," I said hugging her. "I don't feel like sleeping, I'm so excited you're here and I want us to talk all night," Skylar shrieked. "Then so be it," I said jumping onto the bed. We talked all night and only got to sleep when the sun was rising up. We woke up later to take part in the final rehearsals for the wedding. It was actually fun and I wondered why Skylar hated it so much. Skylar and Sherry were to be bridesmaids and I would have to spend most of the time at the reception alone since Lara said she might not make it but I really hoped that she would.
I couldn't stop admiring how beautiful the bride looked. I drifted off to a world of dreams as I imagined how it would feel when I'm the bride and Kayden my groom. I smiled endlessly till Lara walked up to me and tapped me. "Stop day dreaming girl," she said kissing my cheek. "Lara," I shrieked. "I can't believe you made it. I was worried I'm going to spend the day feeling lonely and bored," I murmured. "I knew it girl and that's why I tried as much as I could to get here," She said smiled. "Thank you," I said hugging her.
"I was really exhausted from the wedding but Skylar forced me into partying. We went to one of her guy's house party. It was extremely wild there that I freaked out. I was crazy ocassionally but this was way out of my league. I simply stepped out when everyone seemed so high and I watched the stars. I missed doing this because Kayden felt like it was so unsafe but I needed to do something without thinking about him. I needed to take the road of healing just incase he really moved on. "Harley, I knew you would be out here. Kayden wants to talk to you," Sherry said handing the phone to me. I was puzzled and I whispered a what the fuck so that Kayden couldn't hear on the other side of the call. "What's up?" I said coldly. "Harley, you realise you are putting your life in danger?" He said calmly. I knew I was on the edge of breaking down but I remained composed. "What are you talking about," I asked. "Do you know any of those guys you are continuously partying with? And that house party, like seriously. In all places you could go at you chose such a wild party. Such places are not for you Harley," he remarked and I could imagine him rubbing his hand through his hair. I managed to hold my chuckle as I silently thanked Skylar for posting more videos. "Are you stalking me?" I asked. "Why do you even care if I get wasted. I'm not your girlfriend remember, it's better you stay out of my business. I can do whatever I want with whoever I want and wherever I want," I said and disconnected. Sherry burst out laughing and I joined her, "wow that was a marvelous act. You should have been an actress," she said.

I was so sad when the three weeks were over. I had enjoyed every single day and I didn't want to leave just yet. I actually asked my parents if I could stay for one more week. They had agreed but later called me and said I should get home right away since Kayden told them all I do is party. I was so angry at him and I knew he wanted me to react and I decided to give him what he wants. He had been calling Skylar and Sherry warning them everytime we hang out and it's with any kind of guy. He called me a few times too but I never bothered to pick. Skylar and her friends were throwing a farewell party for me. Her mum tried to decline it but she really had a soft spot for her only darling daughters. She can hardly say no to any of their requests. She actually tried to stop us from going out on some nights but Skylar would pretend like she is crying and she would readily give in. Sometimes I pitied her especially when Skylar took advantage of her. Their dad was away for a business trip and would not return until the end of the holiday and to Skylar this was going to be the best holiday ever.
"We are going to be waiting for your return," Rapha said. He was the alpha male and we had got quite fond of each other. "I really don't want to leave and I hope to see you guys again," I said hugging him. I felt like I would cry if I stayed any longer. I hugged Sherry and their mum goodbye. Skylar was pushing me to the bus stop together with Rapha. It was so painful to leave, I had got a new life here and new friends. I had forgot about the heartbreak and it felt like I was finally moving on. I hugged Skylar and I promised to come back. "I'll be waiting for you," Rapha said placing a kiss just close to my lips. I smiled and hopped onto the bus.
"Harley," Callie run and hugged me. "Tell me about your get away. I know you had so much fun because Kayden couldn't stop blowing up about how careless you got when you went there. He even told mum that you were always dancing with random guys. He is actually the reason you were denied an extra week. I think he missed you so much and he was really jelous," She said helping me with my luggage. "I knew he was the reason but let him deal with it. He is the one who called things off in the first place," I said irritated. "You guys broke up?" Callie said almost dropping my bag. "Yes, sorry I didn't tell you the whole truth. We didn't just have a break because we were fighting. We had a real break up but I hope we reconcile soon because I know he still loves me and I too love him regardless of what I have been doing. I only did that because he was being an ass and I needed to clear my mind a bit," I sighed. "Can I help you out with your reconciliation?" She asked hopefully. I laughed but I agreed to it anyway. I knew Kayden was very proud and stubborn and I had to use all kinds of tactics I could to make him reconcile with me.
"What the hell did you think you were doing?" Kayden exclaimed. He had me cornered on the wall blocking my exit. He put his hands on either side of the wall and bent a little so that our faces were at the same height. My heart was racing a million miles. "What are you talking about?" I managed to find my voice after a deep breath. "Don't pretend like you don't know what I'm talking about," he said narrowing his eyes. His stare was so intense and it felt like he was hitting me. His tone was so serious and his voice warning. "I don't know what you are talking about," I said faking confidence. Of course I knew what he was talking about but I was not ready to admit that I was doing it because I wanted him to get jelous. I knew better than to caress his ego right now. "I see your now more stubborn than I remember," he smirked. "I love that. It will make this alot more fun," he added getting closer. I felt my knees buckle and my neck unwillingly inching closer to his face. My brain screamed no but my body was far gone. "Relax," he said placing a finger on my lips. I do swear I have never been this embarrassed. "I hate you," I blurted pushing him away. He didn't fight it this time, he stepped away and I ran to my room. I couldn't comprehend why he was so joyous in torturing me. "Harley, what happened?" Callie came running after me. "He is a jerk," I simply stated and covered my head. Callie soothed me to sleep and I only woke up later in the night. I felt someone lying next to me and I thought it was Callie but when I tried to turn, the hand that was spread across my waist was very heavy. I was pretty sure I was not dreaming that it was Kayden's hand. I was over joyed but I didn't want to wake him up or let him know that I was awake because he might shut me out once again. I could take what he had to offer for now.
I struggled to open my eyes as they shrinked to the light. I managed to sit and let my eyes travel around the room. Everything seemed perfect just like the way I left them. Was Kayden really here or it was just a dream. I checked the window it was locked. "How did he lock it?" I mumbled to no one.
"Harley, it's time for jogging hurry up please." Callie called out for me. I really hated jogging but I couldn't say no to her. And now I hate it more since I always run into Kayden. I just hope I don't run into him today because I'm still feeling so torn by what happened yesterday.
"Fall down," Callie muttered. "What?" I whisper yelled. "Just fall down?" She grumbled. "Why would I and why are even even whispering," I said baffled. She didn't answer and simply tripped my foot while I whined. "Ahh," I yelled in pain. "What the hell?" I screeched. "Harley?" Kayden came rushing towards me. "Are you ok? Didn't you sprain your foot? Why are you even jogging?" He mumbled rapidly. I forgot about the pain that my ass was in for banging it on tar and first gave Callie a questioning look. She started walking funnily and I couldn't get what she was saying till she did more descriptions. I nodded, "smart ass." I said slowly so she could read my lips. "Harley, can you tell me, I'm worried sick about you and you're just staring at Callie. Do you feel any pain?" He asked. His eyes were full of worry and I felt guilty for faking this but I pushed those thoughts away before I could chicken out. It was Callie's idea after all so I shouldn't feel guilty at all. "My my ankle, I think it's twisted," I sobbed. "Wow, I'm really good at acting." I mentally clapped for myself. "Which one?" He asked. "Is it this one?" He said massaging my left ankle. I whimpered pretending that it was too painful. "I can't help you from here I having nothing on me. I'll have to carry you home and see if it's really serious so I could take you to the hospital," he said carrying me bride style. My body couldn't miss noting that it was very close to Kayden. I developed goosebumps and I felt embarrassed as I shivered in his embrace. I decided to savor the moment while it lasted. I buried my head into his chest as I wrapped my arms around his neck. I felt home in his chest and I made a mental note to give Callie a gift for this wonderful plan of hers. Sisters like her are really precious. Callie branched home and I was astonished when Kayden carried me to his house. I thought he do put me down once we were in but he continued carrying me to his room. He placed me carefully on his bed and my heart couldn't stop racing. My breath quickened and I couldn't bother pretending about it because there is no way I could hide my hype for him. He grinned when he turned and saw that my breath had quickened. He bit his lips and I swear I felt wet. "Did he bring me here to torture me or to help me." I wondered. He got what he was searching for and came over to where I was seated. I kept wincing when he was checking my foot. I was not wincing because my ankle was hurting or anything but his touch was doing things to me. It was sending tingles throughout my body and I couldn't help but wince. "It's not badly injured, it's a little sprain I can massage it for you," he said looking directly into my eyes. His eyes were glistering with lust. "I think we should get rid of the pants so I can start off with the massage," he said. I simply blinked, and stared unbelievably at him. "My pants?" I asked swallowing hard. There was so much tension between us. "I mean pull them up so that the ankle is free," he laughed. "You're still my little naughty girl, ain't you," he smirked. "Did he just call his naughty girl?" I cheered mentally. "ok what exactly are you smiling about?" He asked. "Nothing, I'm just glad you were there to help me. I can't imagine what Callie would have done if you didn't arrive on time," I lied. I had to force tears and fake yelp during the massage. I smiled a bit whenever he was not looking. He wrapped a bandage around my entire left foot once he was done massaging it. The room fell into utter silence. It started getting to my nerves since Kayden couldn't stop smirking. "I think I should go home now, thanks," I said. "Why are you in search a hurry?" He asked. "It's not like I'm doing anything here and I have to wash up. I bet I'm stinking from that long run," I replied. "I'll carry you there and I'm going to help you shower," he said bluntly. "What the, you're not going to shower me!" I whined. "I'm either showering you or you have to choose between my mum and yours. And that's final. I'm not letting you stress your ankle because that's the only way it will heal fast," he muttered. "Fine, I'll choose give me a second." I said rolling my eyes. I wish Callie told me he is going to be this protective. The stupid ankle is even fine. "Who do you choose?" He said dragging me out of my thoughts. "Your mum," I said. "ok, I'll call her up here to help you," he said rushing out. I was left alone puzzled.
He came back to the room with my fresh clothes and a towel and Kate was right behind him. "I thought I was going to shower from home," I lamented. "Will just stop whining about everything. What difference does it make, I do have warm water if that's what you were worrying about." He said carrying me to the bathroom. Katie came in with a chair and placed it right next to the bath tub. Kayden carefully helped me sit on the chair and left once he was convinced that I'm comfortable and safe. "You place the injured leg on top of the tub," Katie said helping me out of my pants. This was definitely the weirdest day of my life. I can't believe I'm stripping for Kayden's mother. Once she was done helping me undress I convinced her that I could wash myself. She called Kayden to carry me out of the bathroom once I had a towel wrapped around me.
"Kayden, can you please face the other side?" I said. He chuckled but he still turned so I could dress. Once I was done, he carried me downstairs so I could have my breakfast. My mum and dad came to check on me and they left once Kayden convinced them that he could take care of me.
"I couldn't believe my own parents just did that" I told Lara once she called. "Girl, your parents trust that guy so damn much and it will break them once they learn that you guys broke up. You had better done anything you can to get back with him," Lara remarked. "I know and why else would I be pretending to have sprained my ankle. I just can't believe they came over and didn't ask him to bring me home. I even don't know if I'm going to sleep here. This is so insane Lara," I grumbled. "In whatever you do, just keep the act high. Bye girl, I'll call you later to check on you." Lara said hanging up.
I was relieved when Kayden carried me to my house that evening. Atleast now I didn't have to worry about sleeping with him. I was done having dinner so he carried me straight to my bed. "I'm not going to watch you from here but minimise the pressure you put on the injured leg," he warned. I simply nodded because I badly wanted him out of my room. I needed to breath a little. Once he slammed the door after him, I let out a heavy breath. It felt like I had been holding my breath the entire day. I made sure the curtain is drawn back, I couldn't risk him seeing me walking around my room. "Oh my God Callie, that was a brilliant idea. How did you come up with it?" I chuckled. She just winked and did a victory dance. "I can't tell you, I don't kiss and tell." She said hopping onto the bed. "Tell me how was it. I know you had fun since you can't stop blushing. By the way do you think this plan of mine will work?" She asked worriedly. "I badly want you guys to reconcile," she said her eyes sparkling with tears. I felt so emotional because it was so rare for Callie to breakdown and if she was really close to crying then maybe I really had to fight for my relationship with Kayden. I don't know why my family was so charmed by him. It's like he cast a spell onto us. Callie was obsessed with him and I loved him like crazy. My mother was mad over him and my father trusted him with anything.
"It's been eight days now, how are you feeling? Does it still hurt so much?" Kayden asked once he was done massaging my foot. "I'm actually feeling better, I think I can walk now though I feel scared to." I murmured. "I understand don't rush, just take your time until you're comfortable. I'm always here to help you," he said staring directly into my eyes before dropping his gaze to my lips. I felt them go dry and I was forced to lick them. "Don't do that Harley," he said huskily. "Why?" I asked teasingly licking them again. "Harley," he groaned running his hand through his hair. "Please," I said attaching my forehead to his. "I know Harley but it's complicated," he muttered. "It's not complicated Kayden, you're choosing to make it complicated." I whispered. "Harley you hurt me," he stated. "I know but believe I didn't do any of that on purpose. You should at least listen to me," I begged cupping his cheeks. Tears were now flowing down my eyes. I didn't want to ever breakdown because of him right in front of him but since he has decided to have this conversation now, I couldn't control my pain anymore. I felt like I had held on for so long and now it's time for him to see just how much I'm hurting without him. "Harley you know just how much I hate seeing you cry. Please don't cry, please it's tearing me apart knowing that I'm the reason you're agonised." He grumbled. "I can't help it Kayden, it hurts so much I can't take it anymore. That day you left me, I was so torn that I didn't know what to do. I drank too much and got wasted. Austin helped me out and took me to his place. I promise nothing happened, he didn't even lay single finger on me. He let me have the bed and as soon I was sober, I left and that's when you found me. Please believe me Kayden," I sobbed. "I know that Harley. Austin told me what happened sometime back then because you looked so terrible and he couldn't stand seeing so much hatred for him in your eyes. He hoped we could reconcile but how do you expect me to just believe everything. You know just how you loved him and just how much he is obsessed with you. I feel like I'm the only person holding you back from reuniting with him. I love you so much Harley but I don't want to have you while you imagine about how it could have been if you had given Austin another chance," Kayden said. "Austin is my past but you are my present and my future. I don't want him. Kay, I loved Austin but what I had for him can't compare with what I feel for you. I feel so lost without you and with him I was just scared of being alone once again. Kayden, you are my life." I said. My voice my was a hoarse strungled whisper from all the crying but I couldn't seem to stop. Kayden buried his head in his palms while he puzzled over everything. I silently prayed that he could just get over everything and get back with me already. I leaned against the wall and stared at my window. We let the silence swallow us. I couldn't say anything because I couldn't find my voice from all the crying. Kayden finally raised his head and looked in my direction. "I'm sorry, I know I'm hurting you but I don't think I'm ready for this." he hissed walking away. Each step he took was very painful. It felt like he was nailing my heart with each step. I winced clutching my chest. "Why?" I sobbed uncontrollably.
