They both lay quietly on their beds still unaware of their mothers death. When they heard his footsteps they both awoke. Each was a splitting image of the other and the only difference was in their eyes, the grey cat eyes and the ocean blue eyes. And he thought sadly to himself, what a ferocious duo."

Richard was loosing his mind, he had grief, the children and the burial preparations to take care of, at the same time. Though he knew it was not the right decision he had to do it, he picked up his phone and called Rosalinda to help and as if she were anticipating the call she was there within five minutes.
Rosalinda was still angry at Richard for dumping her but she still loved his money. It was a win win situation and maybe she might end up marrying him and having everything for herself.
She helped take care of the children by cleaning them up and feeding them powdered milk whereas Richard dealt with the burial preparations. The sun had set too early on her Richard thought, if only she were there with him, everything would be so easy and serene but she wasn't and that was a fact. He had to move on.
Things had taken a speedy turn and the final day had dawned. Family members and friends from the church attended her burial each putting in a good word about her, either she was a strong woman or something like that only Richard felt that he understood the magnitude of her death. With one scoop of sand on her grave he understood she was not coming back, reality hit him hard and though it seemed not okay for a man not to cry, he cried bitterly. Putting out all his emotions and not caring what others thought of him, anyway it was his last respect to his wife, the love he felt for her.
After the funeral they all retired back to their homes. The events had taken a toll on him and he only seeked rest, leaving the children on the care of Rosalinda, he slept but the nightmare was still real.
Loyalty and devotion from rosalinda never went unnoticed, she was devoted to him and to his two princesses. Due to all that he decided to marry her not out of love since his heart still belonged to becca but out of sheer need.
Their wedding which happened months later was a quiet ceremony, not many in attendance, since his family thought it was too soon for him to remarry refused to attend. But life had to move on.
Time passed very quickly much to their surprise as the days changed into weeks, months and into years, the one month old Cassandra and karen were no longer young.HEY if you like my book please vote but if you don't, please comment nicely on where you would like changes. Love y'all😚😚
