The school buildings were huge and majestic, all that money could buy. This would be their home for the next five years, the place where they would be edified and molded to be the next future leaders, as the politicians stuck on their seats like glue always say. Rosalinda had everything well planned out, tactfully, all the steps she would take at a time up to the final climax, as she called it. Everything had to look normal as she still needed their trust to ensure her malicious plans against the orphans were successful. And for the success a good school was the first step, not only a good school but also a serene environment far away from home to ensure they wouldn't catch wind of anything. The air smelled of sweet nectar with a mixture of cool warm breeze, truly magnificent. Their  moment of silence as they absorbed in the environment was disrupted by a blaring siren and sudden noises from students. They were dressed in beautiful black dresses and cute white bows matched with black socks and black shoes, nothing seemed to disappoint.
A beautiful young brown lady maybe from an African descent approached them and introduced herself as the schools secretary and offered to accompany them to the office where the admission would take place and they meekly followed.
"This is the principals office, you may proceed." The secretary informed them in a sweet welcoming voice as she smiled at cassandra's way. "This is new", rosalinda thought to herself. She had always thought casy was going to end up being a nun. She had never brought a boy home, but smiling shyly at the secretary had delivered the message home. After they knocked at the door a husky voice answered telling them to enter. They were invited by a heavy smell of expensive perfume that hung up in the air and one other thing, power. The principal was a white chubby woman who had her hair tied in a bun with no strand loose. She exuded a lot of discipline. They stared at each other for a minute after which  she invited them for a seat.
"Goodmorning principal sugarbaker, i am rosalinda and these two are my stepdaughters, Cassandra and Karen. I booked an admission the day before yesterday."
"Goodmorning to you too and welcome to my school, all the admission processes have been taken care of no need to worry, all you have to do is sign in the girls into the school register but before that let me do a brief introduction of the school. Maryhill crest school is a prestigious school as you can see, it was founded in the year 1948 by Richard and Mary. Maryhill crest is a school deeply rooted in discpline, hardwork and commitment and if you are not ready to be any of that you are not welcome."
The last sentence came out so powerful that it sent jitters around Karen's body, she no longer wanted to be admitted in the school.
"Thank you principal sugarbaker for warm welcome and introduction, my girls will truly be delighted to join your school, i assure you, isn't that true?"
They both answered with a nod.
"Good, so we will proceed with the signing of the register, and one more thing our school has only one holiday, the christmas holiday so you will have to hold on for a bit and the rest of the information regarding our school policies will be handed to you by my secretary, Miss Nadia.
She opened up one drawer and took out some papers.
"Please sign here Mrs Rosalinda, and the girls should sign there below."
After they had finished the procedure they were ushered out of the office and they proceeded to the lobby desk where Nadia gave them the instructions and policies manual, some were extremely hard but they would survive.
She also gave them the school uniforms to fit, after everything was done they were showed to their rooms. The twins were to share the same room with another girl.
"Here is your room cassandra and karen, everything will be provided, from the matress, bedsheets and blankets, make yourselves comfortable, your lessons will start tomorrow but before that you will have to choose subjects that you will want to pursue but the rest of the academic information will be given to you by the academic patron."
"And by the way i am lucy, your matron, my work is to ensure you have a comfortable stay. Be free to consult or ask for help." And with that she left to get the beddings for the girls. After ten minutes she came back  and helped them make their beds. She gave them stories of the school and how friendly everyone was. They were yet to see how friendly the rest of the students were.

"They are like a copy of each other, how does one differentiate them."
"Who are you talking about, Roxy?."
"Come on simone, don't tell me that you haven't seen the new girls, they are so much alike!."
"And beautiful." Maria added.
"Just hoping they won't fall in to the wiles of lucy, she is such a hypocrite."
"Always so negative, what is usually wrong with you simone?"
"You should know me better Roxy, i am just saying the truth."
"Blah, blah, blah, you always lie." Roxy answered her with a quiet giggle.
Roxy and simone are of African descent owing to their beautiful dark skins with long braided hair, slight petite body frames and they are about 5'2 in height, one would mistake them for sisters, but their characters are nowhere similar. Roxy being argumentative whereas simone is defensive, a character earned after much word bullying from roxy.
Maria on the other hand is of asian descent, having soft shoulder length hair and a small body frame and always wears a confused look on her eyes.
Being so different, their friendship was quite unexpected, just like expecting  cats and dogs to get along.
"Oh, have you seen our new spanish teacher, he is such a hunk, heard his name is sergio."
"Ohh roxy, do you now love spanish men? you always claimed they were not your type."
"You remember that, seems atleast you are good at something dear simone." Roxy answered her with an mischievous smile as she tried to suppress a giggle.
"What can i say, i do pay attention roxy." She retaliated.
Simone was getting better at that.
"Of course you do because you are good at nothing else."
"Guys, please this is getting old, you should stop arguing already." Maria intervened.
"Maria, you should probably stop looking lost all the time and also mind your own business."
" You are so mean roxy, i was just trying to soften the air anyway that's our bell, we should probably head off to our next class."
"Ughh, it's math and damn that old woman is boring, she can barely keep the class up for ten minutes."
"Told you, simone is so negative, nothing good comes out of her mouth."
"Whatever roxy, it's like you keep up for five minutes, i am just speaking my mind." She answered her with a glint of sarcasm as she shrugged her shoulders.
"Yeah we should probably go."
The air was already thick with tension. Simone was getting bolder whereas roxy never left her battles lost, winning was her motto.

"Lucy seems like a nice person, doesn't she?." Karen asked cassy randomly.
"Nice is more of Nadia, she is so pretty."cassy answered her with a thin smile on her lips.
"Wait, what did you just say, cassy?."
"Nothing."
Knowing her sister very well cassy knew karen would not easilydrop the matter, she has to deviate the her attention.
"How do you like the school anyway?."
"Apart from the principal and the rules being harsh, the rest seemed nice. What about you cassy?"
"Same but i have a feeling the stay will be interesting."
"Why dear sister?." She asked her with a speck of mischief dancing on her eyes.
"Umhhh, i....i..... meant that it would be distracting, from our misfortune. Loosing our dad." She answered her nervously. Oh God she is such a probe, cassy thought to herself.
"Why do i have a feeling you are hiding something from me cassy."she continued looking at her probingly.
"I have nothing to hide."
Immediately lucy came back. Phew, cassy sighed quietly, saved by the knock.
