DECEPTION AND REVENGE

CHAPTER SEVEN

"I am glad you have come."she exclaimed visibly happy as a smile was lingering on her lips.
"What's this all about Rosalinda, it is kind of odd you inviting me for lunch, spill the beans already."
"Okay, goodness you are so impatient ben dearest." This woman had a nerve he thought to himself, she was wasting his time.
"As you wish, i will go straight to the point" with a sigh she continued, "what did my husband leave for me?"she asked.
In all his years of experience he had earned the skill of noticing a scheme and this was definitely an evil scheme.
"Why do you want to know?" He asked with suspicion visible in his eyes.
"Answer my question first!" She retorted, already loosing her patience.
"I am sorry ma'am but i am not allowed by the law to speak up on such issues without the presence of Richard's daughters." He answered her with finality and immediately he stood up to take his leave.
"They are leaving for a boarding school far away in switzerland, they will no longer be a hindrance."
"When?"
"Today evening."she answered him with a satisfied smirk.
With all that hurry to eliminate the girls he understood she was only starting.
"And if you refuse to cooperate dearest ben, i will kill you!"
"Why are you doing all this, i thought you loved them!."he said as he cautiosly sat down, again.
"Why i am doing this you ask!,"she laughed, "That man never loved me, he just kept me around to nanny his spoilt brats, i don't even remember the last time we had sex, maybe it was on the girls baptism and it was after much persuasion."she answered him with bitterness.
"And for the love part, dearest ben, i never loved those brats actually i hate them, they were the reason Richard stopped loving me at the first place. When his wife got pregnant again, he broke up with me, telling me i was his bad past and ended up firing me. I only went back to him for his money and nobody will stop me, understood, nobody not even you."
Ben was shocked as she laid bare all the secrets and bitterness she had haboured for thirteen years.
"Okay, enough of the small talk, what did he leave for me?" She asked completely unattached.
"He left you a compensation for your troubles, one million dollars."
"Fair enough and what about the company, did he also leave it under my name?"she asked excitement all over her face.
"No, he left the company under his daughters names, each will get their half after they turned eighteen."
Though she was no longer excited he was thankful to the heavens that she was still composed.
"Dearest ben, how much is that company worth?"
"Ummmhh, it's worth one billion dollars." He answered with uncertainty of what she was to say next.
"And he left it all to those worthless brats, shit see what i was telling dearest ben, only a compensation for me."and a soft laugh escaped her lips.
Looking at her he noticed she had a distant look full of bitterness, after some few seconds she focused her gaze on him.
"Make sure that everything is under my name, i now want every last property and penny under my name, make it happen!"
"Sorry but i won't do any your biddings, i am loyal to my clients,"he retorted.
"Oh dearest ben did i make it seem like a request?." And with that she stood up and left.
What did i get myself, that woman is nuts she even threatened to kill me he thought to himself. He had two options do her bidding or not, either way was dangerous. He had a family, a wife and a son to take care of and still he had his career on the line. Sadly he chose the evil and put his career on the line like a coward he was, but before any action he had to strike a bargain.

"Sorry my dear girls for making your departure so soon but i thought it would be for your own good, i think it will be a good time for you to heal from your loss." She said carefully choosing her next words carefully.
"Richard was a virtures man and he kept the needs of his family first and we all loved him dearly for that but now that he is gone we have to move on. Moving on means that all of us have to heal and continue with his legacy. But Since you girls are still young you have to go to school and study and in the mean time i will take charge of everything and make sure you never lack, understood.
"Oh rosy we will miss daddy so much, why did he have to die?."karen asked as painful tears cascaded down her cheeks, her eyes were already a red mess from the frequent crying.
This again, it's so tiring, how many times do i have to comfort them for them to calm down and accept reality for what it is, she questioned herself seriously.
"I know how hard it is to loose a parent and to accept it mostly if they were good and generous to you but beautiful karen, life is a mystery, one can never know why things happen the way they do."
"I will always pray we don't loose you too, you are all we have rosy." Casy told her with alot of affection reflected on her blue eyes. Rosalinda specifically hated this one, she was a splitting image of becca, having inherited her blue eyes.
Oh! you will never, i will be the one loosing you to the streets, she cunningly thought to herself as a smile threatened to form on her lips.
"Don't worry i will always be there to take care of you," she answered her showing a concerned smile.
