Pain was evident in her eyes though she tried so hard to hide it and karen was becoming more worried about her as each minute passed by. Why was she trying so hard to show how composed she was about the ordeal.
As they left Rosalinda's room and packed they clothes she was unusually quiet and this did not pass unnoticed by casy's eye, she had always watched her with a hawks eyes.
"What is wrong karen, you are so quiet and you have always been so talkative?."
"I should be asking you the same question casy, why are you trying to hide it so fiercely and yet it is so evident in your eyes?."
"What are you talking about, as you can see i am okay."
" No, you are not okay dear sister i can feel it, why are you shielding yourself so much?."
"I am not sheilding myself from anything." She answered her already becoming defensive as hot tears brimmed her eyes.
"You are lying and i can feel it, please answer me why are you protecting yourself so much."
"You don't get it karen, it is not me that i am protecting."
"Then who are you protecting?."
" Oh dear karen i feel as if i have to act brave, for you, i want to be strong for you, a shoulder you can lean on whenever things get tough!."she said in the midst of sobs as tears were flowing freely down her cheeks. So much pain engulfed her, the pain she was furiously trying to chain down was let loose and she was overwhelmed and ended up collapsing on the floor still crying.
"Casy who said i needed protection, i can take care of myself."she said as she rushed to her side and knelt down on the floor hugging her sister.
"It is okay to cry casy, their is no need of chaining down of such immense pain, it might end up consuming you." She comforted her caring sister with a throaty voice which had been distorted by her sobs.
"I will always protect you karen, you are my only sibling and i love you so much."
"Yes,yes whatever, me too, goodness casy you are so much like dad always putting your family's interest first but for you to do that you have to be of good mental health." She replied with a concerned look on her face. "Never hide anything from me casy and know that i love you too."
They sat on the floor for almost two hours reminiscing on when their father was alive, all the stories he told them about their mother whom they never had the privilege of meeting. They remembered on what praises they father bestowed on their mothers outgoing character and they made a pact to live a life on their fathers expectations. They remembered the times they spend with Richard, the holidays together, the presents and the care and love he showed them throughout their years with him, he was truly an exceptional man but also with the flaws that were never known to them. Their bitter sweet memory lane was interrupted by the voice of their mother rosy, ahh! They had forgotten about the packing they were doing.
Each stood on their feet and continued with their business trying to carry whatever they could including the family pictures, life would be hard but one look at his pictures would make it worthwhile. How would life be without the only truly caring man they loved, difficult is the answer.
"Hurry up casy and karen, we are almost running late, our ride is already here ready to take us to the airport."
Rosalinda told them as she scurried back into the house after putting her suitcase inthe car.
"Were almost ready rosy, a few more minutes and we will be inthe car before you even notice it." Karen answered.
After a short prayer they carried their belongings out of their room not knowing that this was a clear send off, for good. They arranged their suitcases at the back of the cab and took their seats inthe car as they waved goodbye to the house which had become their home for thirteen years, it now looked like a haunted house with all the lights off, they felt as if they had nothing worth coming back to. As the car picked up speed they looked back at what had been their life and heavy emotions flooded them and unknowingly they intertwined their hands together, only focusing their gaze back at the road when it was no longer on sight. So sad,she thought to herself, indeed it was so sad.

On arrival at the airport they underwent a security check and after the process was done they sat on the waiting bay waiting for their turn to leave.
And when their turn came, the twins boarded their flight never to look back with their mother Rosy on tow.
After a tiring long lived flight they arrived their destination and without wasting more time Rosalinda decided to immediately take them to school the following day after a nights rest in a town closer to the school.
Picking up her phone she decided to call the dumb lawyer, how easy was it to sway him, so easy. He had to keep up and she would do a great job to ensure it was so. A little torment would come in handy.
" Hello dearest ben, it me Rosalinda, how are you, not that i care." The last comment came out as a chuckle.
"I know who it is, what do you want?."
"Alot, alot more than you can imagine."
