Though they had never met their mother they always felt her presence through the stories Richard had narrated to them. Stories on how they met on a church fundraiser and how they got married up to her last days had always awed them. "We are orphans cassy, daddy is gone, who is going to love us the way he did," karen stated hysterical, as she cried uncontrollably. How tables had turned, Rosalinda thought to herself as she watched the twins from afar, she had always thought of Karen to be the stronger one, the one she would end up having troubles with. And With amusement she changed her gaze to Cassandra, the obedient one, one would have thought she was in denial but no, she knew she had an obligation to her sister thus she decided to tuck her tears aways and listen to Karens whimps and later on at night she would secretly cry herself to sleep. This one might be trouble Rosalinda thought, she had to take action before it was too late and immediately she booked an overseas highschool admission for both girls. To act on her plans they had to be away.

Their was a soft knock on the door and a handsome dark man entered his office.
"Good Afternoon Mr.Bernard, did you come with the documents, specifically my previous will?." Richard asked him in a dry husky voice, it was easy to tell that everything about his health was not right. "Good Afternoon to you too Mr Richard and yes i came with what you asked of me last night." he replied.
"I would really appreciate your confidentiality on the matters that we will discuss here,"richard stated blankly. "Don't you worry sir, i will not tell a soul," he replied. Without a waste of time he continued, "I want to change the will since everything was left under the name of my wife becca who passed away. I will leave everthing to my two daughters and a compensation to Rosalinda for her time, loyalty and devotion to my children. After getting into the specifics of the will they wrapped up the meeting each saying their goodbyes never knowing it was their last.
This meeting had happened a month before his sudden demise. During that month his health had heavily deteriorated. Tired of all the needles and new treatments, he got off them and he decide to embrace death. Even during that time he had lost faith in life the sisters showed lots of moral support to their father, bringing fruits to him for better health and telling him stories of how school had been for them. Though he loved his two daughters he terribly missed becca and always wished for a chance to talk and kiss her one more time and in those thoughts he felt bad for Rosalinda, she had always tried so hard to fill that void.
On the last stage of blood cancer he started having hallucinations of becca around telling him to go to her and one week did not wrap up before he joined her, it had all been too soon.
The grief of loosing a second parent was too much to bear, did they really have to die, both of them?. Those were the questions that ran through their minds as they prepared for the sudden burial.
The three days passed as fast as the wind, it was the last day to give their respects to their father and friend. Though contact between richard and Becca's family had been minimal over the past years they decided to attend his burial and support the twins. And as the saying goes believing is seeing, his coffin was lowered and a heap of soil placed over him, they believed.
As the day faded each person left for their home hoping they had reunited. Alone, they left for home to continue with life and see what surprises it held for them.
"Goodmorning, i have a proposition for you, i promise you won't regret it, meet me at sundale hotel for lunch, i will be wearing a blue dress." And before he could ask who it was or anything else the line went completely dead.
