I have been curious for quite some time, but at long last, I have my answers.

Fyres are quite organised. They record all their events, both major and minor. They're very particular about order and precision. So, they have hundreds of archives even here on Earth. While I was in one of them collecting information about the Fyres who had emerged as the major leaders in their time, I came across Mina's records. I flipped through the various papers talking about her training and growth. I noticed that they go back to her teenage years but none before that. This was very unusual. Every single one of the other records date back to the individual's birth, but not Mina's.

With some more digging I found more cases of Fyres with missing records - but were they really missing or simply did not exist at all? Were these women really Fyres or were recruited by them?

I tried very hard to find out more about Mina's past and I did. My search led me to her,

Park Mirai,

Mina's sister.

I learnt from her that Mina was originally from Earth, orphaned at the age of three, left to fend for themselves at such a tender age. But they survived somehow. Mirai described Mina as someone who was always eager to learn more, completely trusting , extremely dedicated and alarmingly determined. When she was a teenager, Mirai said that she disappeared one day never to be found again.

I would say that the Fyres of her time found a young Mina, saw her potential and took her under their wing. Training her to be powerful, ruthless and able to lead a robust Council of Fyres, erasing her memories of being a Roselia to ensure a smoother transition. This would also explain why some of Mina's tendencies are so unlike Fyres but so similar to Roselia witches.

Jin couldn't help pacing the corridor. His clothes bloody, hair tousled, mind troubled. What had happened back in the mansion? They had a plan, a solid flawless plan, but what had happened? He had gone there with the determination to finish off this nonsense of a drama once and for all but he didn't - he couldn't. He couldn't stand over Mina writhing in agony, agony that he had caused and just walk away. He couldn't fathom that idea. He carried so much anger inside him but at the sight of the person, who had potentially ruined his life, in pain, he hesitated. Could he really bring himself to stoop to such level of cruelty? Even for the worst of his enemy, he couldn't see anyone suffer like that. He hated that he was even taking a second to think about showing kindness to such a cruel woman but for some reason his gut told him he should not leave Mina in such a state, even though she, his mother, his own flesh and blood, hadn't thought twice before destroying him and everything else in her path.

"Taehyung, I think we should take her to Namjoon," He said looking at Taehyung. And it seemed Taehyung didn't disagree to that as he slowly nodded his head in confirmation to Jin's words.

They hurried to Namjoon's restaurant where the Sprite had immediately rushed into a back room carrying Mina's limp body in his arms. And for the past half hour Jin had paced the corridor, his thoughts a mess.

Meanwhile Taehyung was playing with his fingers and tapping his shoes on the floor, leaning against the wall. He hummed a soft tune to distract himself, reminding him of the first time he'd set foot in that old shop. That seemed so long ago now, had it only been a few months? How is it that life can present you with such unexpected miracles but also snatch it away? How is it that when you think you've understood the entire universe with its brilliant but monstrous days and star-studded but dangerous nights, crafted such a clever plan to triumph its own game, cease being its puppets for that one oh so sweet moment but the next second it proves you wrong? Cruel. We live in a cruel and unrelenting world. Unrelenting in its effort to surprise you, to make you expect the unexpected. It would build you the most exquisite monument with elegant arches and gilded sculptures, extravagant ivory pillars and embossed silver moldings, stained glass windows painting the floor a rainbow of hues and also tear it down brick by brick.
