Chapter 10

Hayden's pov:

I got home and showered and then i started texting annie
It was kinda hard because of my hand
I put Netflix on and watched All American
As i was watching, i got a phone call
i answered it

H: Hello?
?: hey, i miss you... i need you right now *sniffs*
H: who is this?
TM: It's Tati
H: look Tati, i have a girlfriend-
TM: i know i know, i don't want you like that.... i just need a friend
H: are you okay?
TM: my mom was in a car accident... *cries*

i took a moment
i felt really bad for her

H: come over..
TM: a-are you sure?
H: yes..... come over
TM: okay..

A couple minutes later there was a knock on my door
I went to open it
Tati was standing at my door crying

H: come here *hugs her*
TM: *hugs back*
H: come in

we walked to my livingroom and sat on the couch

H: is she okay?
TM: s-she's in the hospital... i don't know what to do
H: why aren't you there
TM: i don't have my license so i have no way to get there... my dad rushed to the hospital without me
H: do you want me to-
TM: No! i don't wanna see my mom in that condition
H: I'm so sorry this happened to you, is there anything i can do?

She looked at me with tears in her eyes

TM: just keep me company for a while..
H: okay, yeah i can do that
TM: thanks... can i use your bathroom?
H: Yeah sure, down the hall take a left
TM: i know, thanks

She went to the bathroom and i saw i had a bunch of text messages from Annie
She was making sure i was okay
I replied

H: Baby i'm okay sorry, i was just doing something❤️
A: Okay babe, do you want to facetime?

I stared at my phone for a while

H: I'm still busy but i'll definitely call you later okay?
A: okay😔
H: I'm sowwweyyyyy, i promise☹️
A: Okay
H: okay i love you and i'll text you in a bit💜
A: okay, love you too❤️

Tati came back into the livingroom and i put my phone away
She sat next to me

TM: we should watch a movie or something
H: okay, what movie?
TM: 365 days

I looked at her
She laughed a little

TM: I'm kidding, relax..
H: oh *laughs a little*
TM: let's watch After
H: okay

i put the movie on
as we were watching i realized she was getting closer and closer to me
I also noticed she was looking at me a lot

H: you okay?
TM: oh yeah, i'm feeling a little better
H: Okay, that's good
TM: I could be better...
H: What can i do?
TM: whisper this in my ear

She showed me a quote that said everything's gonna be alright
I leaned toward her ear
She turned her head and almost kissed me
I jumped back immediately

H: TATI!!
TM: I'm Sorry!!
H: Why would you do that?!
TM: I said i'm sorry! I'm in a bad mindset right now!!!
H: Tati that doesn't mean you try to kiss me!
TM: I'm so sorry.. i should go

She got up and ran out
I sighed and pulled out my phone
I had so many messages from different people
What the hell?

A: I know your doing something so i thought i would leave a message for when you pick your phone up again and let you know that i love you so so much and that will never change no matter what, i love you Baby❤️
JO: Dude what the hell is wrong with you!!!
J: Hayden wtf?
K: I'm gonna kill you.
CL: Dude... not cool.
A: Can we talk?..

I texted them all back and i said the same thing to each one of them except for Annie

H: What the hell are you talking about

Then i texted Annie
Her text message was so cute but i have a feeling what she wants to talk about isn't good

H: yeah baby, i'm coming over

Then Christian replied

CL: dude why is she at your house?

I stared at the text message
How the hell does he know?...

H: What are you talking about?!

Christian called me and i answered

CL: Yo why is she at your house?!
H: i don't know what your talking about
CL: Hayden you know damn well you know what i'm talking about. Dude Why is Tati at your house?
H: alright alright she isn't here anymore, she just needed company and i wanted to help her out you know?
CL: did you cheat on Annie?
H: Of course not! Why would i cheat on Annie?!
CL: Because thats what everyone thinks
H: i promise i didn't cheat on Annie, Tati tried to kiss me but i didn't let her and then she left
CL: so you didn't cheat?
H: No!
CL: okay well then you should talk to everyone else and Annie especially
H: I will but, how did you even know she was here?
CL: she posted a picture on instagram in your bathroom and everyone knows what your bathroom looks like
H: Damn it! Okay thanks

I hung up and gave everyone an explanation then i drove to Annie's house
Once i got there i ran to her door and knocked
Her brother Greg opened the door

GM: Hey Hayden, what's up?
H: Uh, can i come in really quickly? i need to talk to your sister
GM: Oh yeah, she's in her room *steps to the side *
H: Thank you!

I ran upstairs to Annie's room
I knocked and then opened the door
My heart dropped

A: H-Hayden?!

It felt like my heart shattered
I couldn't even get words out
I felt my anger growing but i was also super upset and on the verge of tears

AA: Hey man..
A:  Babe it's not what it looks like!

She walked up to me and i backed up

A: Babe..
H: w-what is he doing here....
