Chapter 9

Hayden's pov:

I was waiting for our quarterback to call hike
once he did i ran as fast as i could

??: She's cheating on you!

Our quarterback threw the ball to me and i dropped it
I shook it off and we lined up again

QB: Hike!

I ran towards the touchdown
The quarterback threw the ball to me again

??: Annie's a bitch!

I tried to see who said that and i missed the ball again
i was kind of getting frustrated
We lined up again

QB: Hike!

The quarterback threw the ball to someone else and they caught it then got tackled
We were back on first down

QB: Hike!

I ran down the field and the quarterback threw the ball to me i caught it and ran
no one could catch me

??: Who is that guy she's talking to?!

I looked over and Annie was talking to a boy
She was laughing with him

H: what the-

i looked forward and saw the one and only
Asher Angel
He moved and switched schools so now he's on a different team which we happen to be versing today
He Tackled me and it hurt pretty bad
Everyone Rushed over to me
Everything went black and then once i heard Annie's voice i regained my consciousness

A: Babe! Babe are you okay?! oh my god
H: uhhh
A: Babe! Talk to me!!
Coach: Leblanc you need to get off the field
A: No! Babe talk to me please!!

I took my helmet off
My head and hand was hurting like hell but i didn't want to show it

H: i'm okay
A: thank god

I stood up

Coach: do you need time out of the game son?
H: No! i'm okay to play
Coach: are you sure?
H: yeah
Coach: okay, Time in!!
A: babe are you sure your okay?..
H: yes Annie, i'm fine.

I walked over to the quarterback and told him what play to throw so i wouldn't have to catch and so i could lay off of my hand
Once the quarter was over i walked over to the bench for water

A: Babe?

i ignored her and drank my water

A: Hay?
H: what?!
A: no! we are not going to fight on this field!!
H: So then leave!
A: What the hell is your problem?!
H: you tell me
A: If i knew then i would be asking you!!

she tried to get me to look at her
i kept my eyes on the field

A: Hayden what the hell is wrong with you?!
H: i don't know, ask the guy you were talking to..
A: Hay-
H: Don't! I don't wanna hear it

I ran back on the field

~15 minutes later~

This was the last quarter
The score is tied and we only have a couple seconds on the clock

QB: Hike!

I ran as fast as i could with my injured hand
The quarterback threw the ball to me
It was now or never
I ran towards the ball and..
I caught it!
I ran as fast as i could to the Touchdown
I got to the Touchdown and we won!!
Everyone ran over to me
They picked me up and cheered for me
Then they put me down
