There was a buzz around the pack, a kind of excitement I couldn't place and as I made my way through the pack house heading for the kitchen, I was given smiles and cheerful greetings.

It was nice, a few boxes of the things Al Praat and his people left behind was piled outside, plans to burn it all were in motion. Burn what couldn't be donated really.

I was walking into the kitchen when I stumbled forward nearly dropping my phone. A giggle in my ear causing me to groan before I took her knees and secured her on my back.

"You have a death wish."

"No, I have a piggy back wish!" Danielle laughed before I placed her down on the kitchen counter, Ace was eating pancakes, on his phone and leaning on the counter with his elbows, a second plate was beside him and I kissed his cheek when he pushed the plate towards me.

Danielle of course helped herself to the pancakes with me earning herself a glare from me.

"So like, if I didn't go to school, what would happen?" Travis asked yawning and pawing at his eyes as he walked in, stealing my pancake. These children have no respect.

"Well, I'll make Winston spank you so hard you question why you think these things."

Travis pouted at me, his eyes sparkling as he touched his bum from anticipation before turning away, grumbling about how unfair this life of his was.

Eventually everyone was getting ready to go and I had spotted a group of teens giggling and whispering. While I waited for Ace and my siblings, I approached slowly and silently, trying to seem inconspicuous.

"She totally did not see it coming, that Beta was her brothers mate it was a huge mess!"

"You're kidding!"

"No, now she's pregnant and it's just...wow."

"So, her kid's father is her brothers mates kid, when they have a kid, that kid will be half cousin and nephew? Ew."

"The worst part is, she wants to keep it."

"How i-"

"Claude!" I jumped then wide eyed and crouching behind one of the teens, I looked at my mate who had a hand on his hip, I cleared my throat and stood up straight, the girls and guy jumping back.

"Alpha!" I glare at one of them, they can't act surprise they scented me a long time ago, they snickered instead and I sigh stomping over to my mate and pretending nothing happened.

"Ready to go babe."

"You're unbelievable." Ace rolled his eyes instead and lead the way. I ran after him.

"Babe! Come on, they basically called me over, like who stands in a group so obviously to gossip like that!?"

"Shut up, Claude."

"But, babe!" I stomped as he got into the car, I followed grumbling about having been tricked and that the whole thing was staged.

"You should stick to your comics instead." He told me backing out of the drive way and I growled.

Later that day I found myself with a bowl of cereal and Amanda sitting across from me by the poolside.

She was a beautiful girl, her brown hair was tied back in a bun and she had her sweats on and tank top. She was grinning as she leaned forward and looked around to see if anyone was there.

"So, I heard from Meaghan who spoke to Ben that Tim is actually not into the whole monogamy deal and is currently dating five different people from three different schools."
