Shit

This was not good. Peter had just been shot. He was on his second mission with the reassembled avengers. The first bullet hit him in the arm. The force pushed him back some, but Peter quickly went back to kicking HYDRA's ass. The next bullet came only 10 seconds after the first, but it hurt like hell. The gunman was half dead on the floor, but grabbed a gun and shot its last bullet at Spiderman. It struck him in the side. "PETER!" Tony screamed over the coms. "Ow...I'm fine Mr. Stark." Peter gritted his teeth and held his side as he kicked a HYDRA agent away.

"Kid, you are not fine, you just got shot twice." Steve said, getting to the teen before Tony. Peter gritted his teeth and stood up. "Nah, I'm good Mr. Rogers. I can handle it." Tony landed and blasted the heads off of the gunmen surrounding them.  Steve slung his shield into one agent's face. Peter webbed up four men easily without even looking at them. "No." Tony said looking at Peter. "But Mr. Star-" Tony held up a metal-clad finger. "Do. not. 'Mr. Stark.' me." Peter sighed dramatically. "Yes sir."

Nat came in over the coms. "Guys, HYDRA?" Clint ran past them firing arrows over his shoulder at a trail of HYDRA mean and women. He was heard screaming "Shiiiiiiiiiiitttttt!!!" Peter bolted over to help. "Mr. Barton! lead them over here!" Clint complied. He ran straight at Peter. As soon as Clint was close enough, Peter jumped up and twisted sideways, shooting webs the entire time. All the agents were webbed up when Peter landed. Then he fell clutching his bloody side. "Dammit, that-ugh-that hurts."

"No!" Peter heard Clint yell. Then there was a sharp pain in Peter's stomach. "Ow. Fuck." He said. "The hell, Spider!?" Bucky said, killing an agent and running to help Peter. Tony blasted over to the guy that had shot him and bashed his skull in. Nat, Thor, Steve, Loki, Wanda, and Vision took out the small amount of agents left. Peter blacked out and was taken to the Quin jet by Tony. "Goddammit Pete. Why don't you ever listen to me? I can't lose you." What he didn't know was that his com was still on and the entire team heard him.

When Tony landed on the jet, Bruce had a bed set up. He was expecting at least a couple injuries. "Jesus, what happened?" Tony laid Peter on the bed and retracted his suit. "Got shot in the arm, the side, and the stomach. I-I told him to be careful." Bruce got to work. It was silent for about an hour, the only sounds in the room came from the monitors set up around the bed. "It's not anyone's fault, Tony. You didn't pull the trigger." Bruce spoke up as he stitched the bullet wounds closed. Tony nodded. "I know...but, I can't lose him. Not Peter."

Bruce chuckled to himself "I know Tones." Nat came in. "How is my little паук?" Tony continued to look at the floor in silence. "He'll be fine once he wakes up. Maybe a little sore, but fine." Bruce said before leaving the med bay. Natasha frowned. "Tonyyy," She said, sounding like a mother scolding her child. "Don't go and feel bad about this. You told him not to do anything stupid." Ironman sighed from his chair beside the bed. "I know. But, I just...I can't let anything happen to him." Nat crouched on the floor in front of Tony. "I don't know what I would do without him. Pepper loves him. I know you guys do too, but. It's like, I don't know how to describe how much I love that kid." The red haired ex-assassin smirked. "He's like your son, Tony."

Tony looked up at Natasha. He smiled. She was right. Peter was his son whether he liked it or not. And he definitely liked it. "Yeah, he is. Thanks Romanoff." She smiled and left to tell the team the news. It was quiet except for the machines again. Tony drifted off thinking about his new son and Pepper.

An hour went by and Tony was asleep. When he woke up, it was because Peter had shifted. Tony bolted upright. "Kid?" Peter mumbled something unintelligible. "Sorry?" Tony said. "Turn that alarm off. It's too loud." Tony laughed. He must've meant the EKG. Tony unhooked the Machine and put a band on Peter's wrist to alert the team if Peter's heart went nuts. Tony turned the lights off too. "Thanks Dad." These words from the teen almost made Tony choke. "No problem, son."

And with that, Tony left Peter to get some rest. He would need it. After all, it was a 4 hour flight back to New York.
