Ash and Liana walked hand in hand on the beach. The raven-haired man stared into his girlfriend's eyes and took a deep breath. What he was about to do could change everything - for the better and the worse. "Liana?" the beautiful green-eyed woman looked at him. "Yes?" "This is the last time we will be boyfriend and girlfriend," Liana took a step back. "What do you mean?" she inquired. He knelt to the floor on one knee. "Liana, I loved you from that moment when we were sixteen in Kalos, and I just want you to know that love will be unconditional." he gently stroked her cheek. "You are the wood that feeds the flame inside of me, making me better, and making me strive to work harder. For you," he smiled and said the fateful words. "So Liana, will you marry me?" The woman stared at him, and tears streamed down her face. "Yes, Ash Ketchum! I will!" she sobbed. Their lips met in a passionate kiss and at that moment they heard the sound of Wingull screeching, and the waves running towards the shore and drawing back. But at that moment the most important thing of all was each other.
