"Then... then... she told him if he touched her one more time, she was going to break his flute into pieces and stick them in every hole on his body, starting with his ass," Yoongi broke down in laughter, relating the story of Y/N's interaction with one of the boys in their Theory of Music class.

Y/N put her head down in shy humiliation as the rest of the table erupted in laughter.

Jimin hopped from his seat, came around the table and dropped to one knee in front of her. "Marry me Y/N and have my babies! They'll have my dancing skills and good looks and your savage personality!" he said dramatically, taking her hands. He yanked her to her feet and spun her around. "We'll run away together and fill our island beach house with the sounds of children and music!" He dipped her backwards and pressed a kiss to her shocked mouth before depositing her back in her seat and flouncing back to his.

Y/N's bright red face conveyed her embarrassment of Jimin's over the top behavior. She leaned over the table and grabbed his collar. "I'm going to strangle you with my bare hands, Park Jimin!" she bit out.

Jimin flashed her a seductive smile. "Ooohh baby! You know all my kinks! I'll even let you tie me up if you want," he said.

Y/N dropped the collar of his shirt and pushed him backwards. He almost fell off the seat, but Hoseok caught him in time. "You're relentless!" she said.

Jimin licked his lips then bit the bottom one. "You know what I can be relentless with? My..."

"Yah! Jimin, that's enough!" Jungkook snapped out. His face was red, showing his irritation. "You're taking it too far!"

Jimin pouted at Jungkook's fierce protectiveness over Y/N. "I'm just teasing her," he whined. "And she knows it!"

Jungkook slammed a fist on the table, surprising everyone with his aggression. "Well I don't like it! Knock it off!" he said, his voice soft but furious.

"What's your deal?" Jimin asked, propping his chin in his hand and glaring at Jungkook. "It's not like she belongs to you."

Jungkook went to stand up, but Y/N grabbed his sleeve. "JK it's alright," she said sweetly. "Jiminie doesn't bother me. I can handle him and if not, I'll sick Yoongi Bear on him."

Jungkook yanked his sleeve from her hand and stood up. "Why do you call him by that nickname? You barely know him!" He grabbed his bag and stomped out of the cafeteria, ignoring Y/N's pleas for him to not leave.

Y/N looked after him in surprise. "What the hell just happened?" she said out loud.

Taehyung got up from the table. "I'll go track him down and see what's going on." Taehyung left the cafeteria and headed toward the rotunda. He saw Jungkook sitting on a bench, his bag by his feet and his head in his hands.

Taehyung sat next to his friend for a moment then rubbed his shoulder. "What happened back there Jungkookie? That's the first time I've ever seen you snap at Y/N," he asked, concern in his voice.

Jungkook rubbed his hand down his face. "I don't even know. I wanted to strangle Jimin for talking to her that way and kissing her then when she called Yoongi by that nickname, I saw red," he said, biting his bottom lip.

Taehyung nodded in understanding. "Jiminie would never do anything to hurt her. You know that and she knows that. He's one of her best friends.

Jungkook shrugged. "I know that, but she's supposed to be my best friend. She don't play around with me like that anymore," Jungkook said sadly.

Taehyung patted his shoulder again. "Y/N can't. You have a girlfriend and Y/N respects that relationship," he said gently. "As far as Yoongi goes? I would love to see Y/N end up with him. I think they would be perfect together."

Jungkook raised his eyebrows in shock. "Why would you say that? We barely know him. Y/N barely knows him," he asked.

Taehyung shrugged. "Jiminie trusts him, so I trust him. Plus I think they like each other. He sits really close to her and watches her when he thinks she's not looking," Taehyung said.

"But that doesn't mean she likes him," Jungkook said hotly.

"Y/N watches him too," Taehyung said simply.

Jungkook's face dropped at the information. He couldn't stop the feeling of jealousy racing through his chest and he definitely didn't understand it. Y/N was his best friend. He should want to see her happy. He tried to push down the feeling that he should be the one to make her happy. Taehyung was right; he had a girlfriend. In two more months, he would know if that girl is his soulmate. He had to forget these strange sensations he felt whenever he was around Y/N.

Jungkook was waiting for Y/N outside of the building after her last class. He heard her bright laughter before he saw her. She was walking and laughing with Yoongi when she spotted him. Jungkook's felt a pang in his chest when the smile on her pretty face disappeared at the sight of him.

"Y/N," he said cautiously when she reached him, "Can I talk to you?"

Y/N sighed. "What is it JK?"

Jungkook looked past her to Yoongi. "Can you give us a minute?" he asked.

Yoongi nodded then turned to Y/N with a smile. "I'll wait over there for you," he said sweetly.

As Yoongi walked off, Jungkook turned back to Y/N. "Why is he waiting for you?" he asked.

Y/N sighed again. "He's moving into my place this afternoon. He's going to be my roommate. Did you really stop me just to talk about him? If so, I have to go," she said, turning to leave.

Jungkook reached out and grabbed her hand. "That's not why I stopped you. I wanted to apologize for what happened during lunch. I was out of line and I'm sorry," he said, rubbing his thumb over her fingers.

Y/N looked down at their hands. "Why did you act like that?" she asked.

Jungkook's grip on her fingers tightened. "I don't know. I guess I was a little jealous of how close you and Jiminie and you and Yoongi are getting," he said.

Y/N pulled her hand from his, not noticing the sad look that passed over his face. "You have a girlfriend, JK. One that doesn't like the friendship we have. Jiminie and I have become really close. Yoongi is also quickly becoming a good friend," she said gently. "I like having those friendships without having to worry about a jealous girlfriend."

Jungkook nodded sadly. He knew exactly what Y/N meant. So many things had changed about their friendship since he started dating Mina. The easy affection between the two had faded to almost nothing and it hurt more than Jungkook was willing to admit.

Y/N patted his shoulder. "You're still my best friend, but things are different," she said. "I've got to go. I'm going with Yoongi to get his stuff."

Jungkook reached over and quickly pulled her into a hug before she could protest. He tangled a hand in her dark hair and whispered in her ear, "I just miss my best friend."

Y/N pulled herself from Jungkook's arms and touched his cheek. "I miss you too JK," she said before walking away.

Jungkook watched her leave. Tomorrow was Y/N's birthday. She would get her soulmate mark. Although Jungkook wanted her to be happy, part of him prayed it wouldn't be the same as Yoongi.
