Hidden Soulmate (Jungkook X Reader X Jimin)

Chapter 38

Jungkook replayed the conversation with Jimin over and over in his mind.  He had to talk to Y/N about everything that happened.  It hung over his head like a thundercloud and he could see it was starting to affect his relationship with Y/N.

Y/N had noticed Jungkook's behavior seemed off.  He was still sweet to her, but sometimes it seemed forced.  Y/N was worried that Jungkook was having second thoughts about the soulmate situation with her and Jimin.  Y/N decided to sit him down for a heart to heart while Jimin was working late in the studio one night.

Y/N had just put dinner on the table when Jungkook came home from the clinic.  He looked surprised to see the table set since they usually brought their plates to the sofa and watched a movie while they ate.

Y/N came into the dining room.  "Hey Kookie.  We need to talk," she said, gesturing to a chair at the table.

Jungkook immediately thought the worst.  The words every person hated to hear.  His heart filled with fear.  This is it he thought sadly.  This is where Y/N tells me she doesn't want to be with me.  She only wants Jimin.  She can't forgive me completely.  Jungkook sat down hesitantly.  The knot in his chest unraveled a little when Y/N sat down next to him and reached for his hand, lacing her fingers tightly with his.

"What's going on Kookie?" Y/N asked.  "I can tell something is bothering you."

Jungkook shook his head in denial, but his eyes gave him away.  They immediately filled with tears.  He brought Y/N into a hug, burying his face in her shoulder as tears rolled down his cheeks.  "Please don't leave me sweetheart.  Please.  I need you.  I love you so damn much," he pleaded.  Jungkook had promised himself he wouldn't beg her to stay, but he couldn't stop the words pouring from his throat.  He loved her so much and couldn't bear the thought of her leaving him.

Y/N pulled back and Jungkook's heart broke a little.  "What are you talking about Kookie?  Why would I leave you?  I love you.  You're my soulmate," she said, her voice filled with confusion.

Jungkook looked at her face, her own eyes glistening with tears.  "I'm worried that you're still upset with me about everything that has happened.  You were so sad when Yoongi moved out.  Sometimes I worry you love him more than me," he said softly.

Y/N brushed the tears from his handsome face.  "Yes.  It's true.  I do love Yoongi, but it's different than what I feel for you and Jiminie.  I'm in love with you Kookie.  I have been for a long time," she said.

Jungkook's heart filled at her words.  "I was just so envious of your relationship with Yoongi.  He was doing all the things with you that we used to do together.  The movie snuggles, the walks on the boardwalk, the chili at the pumpkin patch," he said.  "Those were all the little traditions we had.  It hurt so bad to see you replace me with him."

Y/N sighed.  "Yoongi helped me to heal when I was broken.  You had Mina and I was alone.  I made new memories with Yoongi so my memories of you wouldn't bury me alive," Y/N said sadly.

Jungkook hung his head in embarrassment.  "I'm so sorry sweetheart.  I don't know how I was so blind for so long.  There were so many red flags with Mina that I ignored.  I should have seen it so long ago," he said.

Y/N hugged him then pressed a quick kiss to her beautiful lips.  "It's okay Kookie.  I don't want to worry so much about what happened.  I just want to look forward to the life I'm going to have with my soulmates."

Jungkook pulled her in, deepening the kiss.  His lips were warm and soft against hers, but she could feel the desire in the kiss.  It was something she experienced anytime she kissed her soulmates.  The bond was so strong that it sometimes took her breath away.

Y/N pulled back from this kiss, her breathing uneven.  "It's going to be okay Kookie.  Now let's eat before it gets cold," she said, a smile on her pretty face.

Jungkook nodded.  "I love you sweetheart.  So very much," he said. 

"I love you too Kookie.  I always have," Y/N replied.

Jimin came in late that night after an extended practice session with Hoseok.  There was a competition coming up at the end of the semester and Hoseok wanted to go over some ideas for the competition.  Jimin was competing in the solo segment, while Hoseok wanted to compete in the partner segment.  He hadn't yet found a partner, but he wasn't worried.  He still had plenty of time.

After dropping his shoes and duffel bag by the door, Jimin went into the kitchen.  There was a plate in the microwave with a sticky note: 

Hey Jiminie.  Heat up for 2 minutes.  Eat it and come to bed.  I missed you.  I love you! Love Y/N

Jimin smiled at the sweet note.  He heated up the food then ate while standing next to the counter.  He had lunch several hours ago and was starving.  After finishing, he quickly washed the plate, leaving it to dry on the rack.  He grabbed a bottle of water then went to find his soulmates. 

Jimin headed into Y/N's bedroom and smiled at the sight in front of him.  Jungkook and Y/N were sound asleep.  Y/N had her back to Jungkook and he was spooning her, one arm wrapped tightly around her waist. 

Jimin took a quick shower then put on clean boxers and a t-shirt.  He climbed into the bed, facing Y/N.  He leaned over and kissed her lips gently and smiled as her eyes slowly opened.  "Hey baby," he said quietly, not wanting to wake Jungkook. 

Y/N smiled.  "I missed you.  I'm glad you're home," she said sleepily.

Jimin leaned over again and pressed his plush lips to hers.  Y/N responded eagerly, opening her mouth to him with a moan.  Jimin slid his tongue between her lips, kissing her deeply.  After a moment, he pulled back and grinned at her sleepy smile.  "I love you," he said.

Y/N kissed him again.  "I love you Jiminie.  So much," she replied.

Jimin wrapped an around her waist, snuggling close to her.  "I'm so lucky to have you in my life," he whispered softly as they drifted to sleep wrapped up in each other's arms.
