HARRIET

           NAGPAGULONG-GULONG lang ako dito sa kama ko while looking at my cellphone. Medyo nahihilo na ako pero hindi ko pa rin maipagkakaila ang kilig at excitement. First picture namin ito ni Clark as a boyfriend and girlfriend.

Tumigil na ako sa pagpapaikot-ikot sa kama at umupo. I click her name on my contacts and immediately call her.

Dalawang beses muna nag-ring before she answer the phone. Medyo naiirita pa ang bungad niya sa akin dahil siguro ay naabala ko ang tulog niya.

"Hello?! Who's this?!" She irritatingly ask. I giggle at her voice and I answer.

"Si Harriet po 'to. I just called you ngayon kasi parang sasabog na ako eh." I said and giggle. I heard her heavy sigh so I took that as a 'yes' to her. Nagsimula na akong ikwento sa kaniya ang lahat, magmula sa mga nalaman ko but I didn't gave names. Sa mga nangyari sa akin matapos akong pumasok sa napakalaking pinto na 'yun at hanggang sa pagkakaroon ko ng relasyon kay Clark. She is giggling and screaming like an idiot dahil sa mga pinagkkwento ko. In the end, I receive a golden words from her; just like she call it.

"Alam mo girl, nasiyahan ako sa mga ni-kwento mo and the secrets na nalaman mo about your true self; your biological parents and more. But sa mga nagyari kanina, don't you think is it improper na ikwento mo 'to sa akin. Malay mo, I am the one who put that letter on the bulletin board and part of the schemes of that D.K.R and then, you told me all of this at nagpapanggap na isang kaibigan. But I am not telling this not to trust anyone especially our friends, pero, I am just taking the risks. At saka, iilan lang naman ang may alam nito hindi ba? Don't worry, I'll keep that as a secret at bahala ka na kung ipagsasabi mo 'to, basta, I am here for you know matter what." She said to me and that made me smile. Thank god and the Luna Goddess for giving this kind of best friend. She always put herself in the other's shoe always when it comes in decision making and planning strategy.

"And back to your love story, I'm happy that you've found your love. At ang masasabi ko lang ay natatawa ako sa mga revelations niyo sa isa't isa. Haha! Sa amin nga ni Yuan, he is always that secretive type but he always ended up telling me those secrets at the end of the day. I am not a love pro, but you had such a wonderful relationship with him. Sana lang ay sa huli ay ganiyan pa rin kayo—tayong may mga relationship. Wala taong assurance na tayo na nga ang huli. Na we're meant to be part of eternities, na mate natin sila."  She said and I smile. Even though, she cannot see it, I know that she feel the happiness inside me.

"Yeah, sana nga. But matulog na tayo. It's already twelve at bukas ang magiging official na unang araw ko as a second year. Hopefully, maging maayos." Sabi ko sa kaniya.

"Yeah, I hope that too. Sige, bye bye na." She hung up the phone and I smile again. Inilapag ko na ang phone ko sa gilid ko at nahiga na sa kama. Wala namang masyadong nakakapagod na gawain for this day but I feel exhausted. From the letter I read on the bulletin board and of course, kay Clark. Ngayon ko lang nalaman na he's that type of guy na clingy and cute. Well, I find that cute 'cause he really cared for me every time. Ang dami na nga niyang damit ang nandito sa kwarto ko; from the shirt, PJ, cloak and the jacket, kinikilig ako sa tuwing napapadako ang tingin ko doon.
