The Man Above The Boy Within

Hope

Today I didn’t feel defeated,
Those small victories,
Like, not feeling alone or,
Handling my frustration,
Choosing the positive,
Today negativity was defeated,
And this is only the beginning,
To a better me.

Today I took a long ride at dawn,
I had the best road trip,
Playing me a good music with a sing along,
A karaoke but of a better song,
Rising up and ufurling my wings,
Bringing my life a purpose,
And my mind a new canvas,
I don't have to drown in my tears,
They don't have to be my demise.

I want to bend the universe with a gaze,
I want to have a beautiful soul and a pretty spirit,
But you see my fears?
The ceaseless tears?
The mortal stench of sadness?
I will burn it all down to the ground,
Because I’m not alone.

There's hope even in the hardest days,
There's always hope, it comes in rays,
Those that keeps me gleaming,
I really am a happy person here,
I keep saying that in my dreams,
And I will say with a final tear.
