[Jotaros POV]

"Excuse me what-"

I was just at the park i would've seen him.
How did i miss him?

"I- Okay thank you sir." i mumbled then hung up. I dialled his number. Hopefully, it hadn't changed.

It's ringing. It took five rings for someone to pick up.

"Hello?" I heard someone say on he other line. Tears formed in my eyes.
"Hello?" They called again.
"What's your n-name?" i asked, i sounded so stupid, i fumbled over my words.
"J-Jotaro?"
Was that his voice? It had been so long since i had heard him speak.

"Nori?" I heard sobs on the line.
"How did- How did you find m-me?"

"Pure luck." I whispered.

"Nori where are-"

He hung up.
Did he not want to talk to me? Was that actually Nori? Nori was supposed to be dead? I saw him get buried. He couldn't be alive.

I dialled another number.
"Polnareff, are you with the old man?"
After we killed DIO Polnareff had gone to live with him, in order to help him as he grew old aswell as join the Speedwagon Foundation.
"Jotaro are you alright?"
"Are you with the old man?"
I heard shuffling on the other line then heard Polnareff talk again.
"You're on speaker, Mr. joestar is here too."

"I need to tell you something."

"Noriaki."
I heard Polnareff sigh, he hated this topic as much as i did.

"We have reason to believe he is still alive."

They were both silent. Then i heard a sob from who i'm going to assume was Polnareff.

"Don't play jokes like this Jotaro."

I sighed. "I don't joke about this shit. We need to find him, he might be in danger."

"We'll get the nearest flight we can, just hold on."

Polnareff as a small goodbye then hung up. I was in a state. Could Kakyoin really still be alive?

——————

The old man and Polnareff arrived around a day later. I was glad to see them. We talked for a bit. I caught them up on everything that had happened in the past few days.
"Old man, if you could use hermit purple it would be a great help. We might be able to find kakyoin."
Polnareff nodded. Joseph walked over towards my television before shouting the name of his stand.
The channels kept flicking around, forming different words and sentences.
"Nor-ia-ki Kak-yo-in is with your son." Joseph looked startled.
Son?
"What is it talking about?" i asked.
Joseph cleared his throat.
"It's nothing, purple must've just got something wrong is all."

"I guess hermit purple won't be much use then." Polnareff rubbed his temples.

We were all so tired. We just wanted to find our friend.

"Actually," i began to speak. "i might know where we can find Nori."

The old man and Polnareff looked at me.
"Where might he be, Jotaro?" Polnareff went back to rubbing his temples. "We need to take any suggestions we can think of.

"The park." I tried to keep my voice low. "I saw a man at the park, his voice was very familiar. He had cherry red hair like kakyoins, and a green shirt and black jeans, platforms."

Joseph looked pissed.
"Why hadn't you said so before we could've possibly found him by now?!"

"It just crossed my mind, i didn't think he'd actually be kakyoin but he might."

"We have to go there." it wasn't a suggestion, it was a command.

We all crammed into my car and began on our way to the park. I had Joseph rambling in my ears about how "is should've said something sooner" and "not telling them was irresponsible" to which i mainly just responded with a quiet "yare yare"

My thoughts were terrifying. They scared me. It was as if the old man was shouting at me but not him. It was as if i was shouting at myself.
"How didn't you realise he was alive? it's almost been ten years, you're so stupid." They screamed. I was knocked out of my thoughts when i pulled up near the park, closest to the gate.

We went back to the field. He was still there, i hadn't seen it before but he had canvases, pencils, paints and brushes resting on the grass where he was sat.

I held my arm out in front of Joseph and Polnareff to stop them from walking any further and startling the boy.

"Let me talk to him first."

They both nodded in approval as i walked towards him. I had only just noticed how similar his and Nori's features were. The red hair, the sharp jawline, the height, eyes. Almost everything about him connected to Noriaki.

"What do you want now?" he said as i approached, in a cold, dead tone.

"What's your name?"

"Jotaro," i was still startled at the fact he knew my name. "Knowing my name won't do anything good for you."

He looked up to me and smiled sadly.
"Knowing who i am will only put you at harm. It's better to leave me be." He looked back to what he was sketching on the canvas.

"I know who you are, Noriaki."

He stopped sketching. Silence. There was no sound of the pencil against the canvas, no wind, no sounds. Silence.

"Where did you get that name from?" he was still looking at his canvas, he was attempting to look unfazed but i could see right through him. I could see the shock and worry written all over his face.

"Kakyoin, it's better to just admit it. We know who you are, stop playing games!"
I heard the old mans rusty voice from behind me. I told him to wait.

"Fine."

I was surprised, with how he was acting i didn't expect him to actually admit who he was.

"I am Noriaki Kakyoin," his face still was covered in worry. "I am not dead."

"Im sorry you thought i was."

"But we shouldn't know eachother."

"It's not safe."
