[Jotaros POV]
I wasn't seeing shit. I couldn't have been seeing shit. Nori had a grave. I had seen it just a few hours before I went to give him the painting. He was there. He couldn't have just disappeared...could he?I began to worry. What if a vampire-? No. A vampire couldn't have gotten him, i don't think it's possible for a vampire to revive someone then turn them. It might be but i don't think it is. It just seems unnatural for that to occur. I grabbed my phone and shuffled his playlist again. Listening to the same music he used to calmed me. I don't know why, it just did. Maybe it gave my mind the illusion that he wasn't gone. I knew he was gone though.
I remember his favourite song. He loved how well it flowed together, from the singers slightly scratchy voice to the slow beat of the music. I never understood that kid, i used to hate that song but he loved it. He loved it so much. When i'd ask him why he'd say, "There's always beauty in imperfections." That just stuck with me. Did he think that about people? Did he find imperfect people beautiful? He must've thought i was ugly then, considering i am perfect. I chuckled under my breath at the though. Me? Perfect? Wasn't possible.
I paused the music that was flowing through my apartment. I picked up my phone and dialled a number.
"Hello, speedwagon foundation?" i asked, just to make sure it was them.
I heard a hum on the other line so i assumed it was a yes.
"I have reason to believe Noriaki Kakyoin isnt dead." Silence on the other line.
"Could you please do a background check aswell as see if he's been spotted anywhere?"
I could hear the clicking of keys on a keyboard, as if someone was typing something.
"Yes, can do. Well call you back when we find something, thank you Jotaro."
That voice was the same one from at the graveyard. It was so familiar yet so unfamiliar.
"What's your name?"
Silence.
"That is strictly confidential, i apologise Mr. Kujo.""How did you know my name?" This was getting odd, i had never told them my name.
"I recognised your voice, Mr. Kujo." Something was definitely wrong, his voice was familiar but i was almost certain i'd never heard it from the speedwagon foundation. Was he new?"Okay, anyways thank you. I'll be going now."
I heard them mumble "Bye Bye" in a really chipper voice before i hung up.
I definitely knew that voice. I just can't remember who they are.I had no clue what to do for the rest of the day. I still had a few spare canvases and paint. I could paint something else for Kak? No, i could look for him. If i looked for him maybe i'd find him. I couldn't stand knowing that he might still be alive and i just wasn't ever aware.
Where are you Noriaki?I figured i'd do one final search in the graveyard, i spent around two hours checking. Nothing. He wasn't there. I figured i'd look at his favourite places. Where he would go the most. One of his favourite places was the park, he'd sit at this field on a blanket with a backpack full of pencils, paints, brushes and canvases. Sometimes he'd paint the scenery, sometimes i'd go with him and pose for him. We had a lot of laughs when he would paint me, I'd keep moving so he'd shout at me. He wasn't rude, even if he was i wouldn't care. I'd never care if he was mean to me.
I walked towards the field. Someone was there. sat on the grass. They had cherry red hair with their back facing towards me. They wore a green long-sleeved shirt that was rolled up by the elbows. The shirt was tucked into black jeans and they were wearing platforms.
I walked over to them.
"Hello."
They lifted up their head.
"Do you need something?" his voice sounded cold, yet familiar.
"Um...I'm looking for someone, they're around this tall," i made an example with my hand. "Red hair, a little but annoying at first but you get used to it. I was just wondering if you've seen him."
The man shook his head.
"It appears i have not, sorry."
I sighed then began to walk away.
"But," i stopped walking. "You're very stupid Jotaro."
I didn't question what hey said and just kept walking.
After i left the park i got a phone call from the speedwagon foundation.
"Hello, is this Jotaro Kujo?"
It was the same guy who i spoke to earlier.
I mumbled in return."Noriaki Kakyoin was just seen at the park."
