Leaving Home (chapter 1)

Well this is the first time I have ever posted something I have written on the web so please do comment on what you really think about the story so I know how to improvement.

We had been walking for days. We only just left our beloved kingdom behind along with our parents who may die protecting us and the people we left with. My name is Maria and I'm the princess of the sister country to lucius. The name of my country had been forgot over the years and even I didn't learn the name of my own country knowing I would have to leave it some day.

 That day came when a group of people came in the night and woke me and my brother Sammy up and told us we had to go. When we got out side I saw the crown prince of Lucius sitting on his horse looking at me. I didn't know what to do I hadn't been behaving like a princess since I was 10, I was 18 now and I hadn't seen the prince since I was 10. He got of his horse and walked over to me and Sammy he looked at Sammy and smiling. "so your the servant that my father has bought to train me. Well this is going to be fun." I looked at Sammy who some how just new what was going stood and nodded his head. The prince moves towards me next and took my hand an kissed it I pulled my hand away as fast as u could. The prince seemed shocked that I moved so fast. I took a step back and slide myself behind Sammy who stood in front of me to stop the prince grabbing me. The prince didn't move he just smiled. "that's wright you don't know who I am. My name is nathian. I'm crown prince of lucius and my father and my family own you know. Come we must go before the sun comes up. We only have three horse so someone is going to have to ride with someone.

"my sister and I will ride on our own horses thank you. There just over there. " Sammy said pointing at the two back horse in the stable about 100 feet away from where we were standing.

"alright then but be fast we must leave." nathian said walking back to his horse I didn't stay to watch the prince get on his horse instead Sammy and I sprinted to our horses abd got on them and rode them to the main gate where waited for nathian and people that came with him.

"why are we pretending to be servants?" I asked Sammy while we waited in the dark.

"Where not the king that's taking us in could only make nathian come abd get us if he thought he was getting new servants. The king knows out true identity sis. Don't worry well be fine." sammy went quite as nathian and the other people came to meet us.

"let's go" nathian said taking the lead. As I followed Nathian I saw that there where two girls in the group including myself. As I looked at the girls they looked at me and smiled. They brought there horses towards me so that we could speak. 

"my name is Suzy and that I Lucy my sister we know who you are the king told us. We will help you keep it a secret from nathian." they smiled at me again I smiled back knowing that they where telling the truth.

"oh look the servant is smiling how beautiful." said nathian looking at me with a snear on his lips.

"that was rude prince nathian." said Suzy in a sing song voice. Lucy started laughing, Sammy was also laughing, I started laughing becuase of the exspression that nathian had on his face.

"that's enough all of you we are going to be caught if you don't SHUT UP!" said prince nathian who was still looking at me out if the corner of his eye as he turned towards the main gate which faced out towards the desert.

It was mid morning before we stopped to eat. It was also hot, uncomfortably hot. Nathian had pulled back to ride with rest of us in the group. Nathian pulled his horse near mine, which didn't bother me because I was ready for any insults that he was going to through at me. The thing was that nathian didn't through any insults at me instead he held his hand out with a ghost skin water bag. I looked at the water bag for a second then took it from nathian. Our hands touched lightly as I took the water bag. I sucked in a sharp breath of air and nathian went stiff. We hadn't touched anyone out side out close circle if friends before. Well I hadn't I don't know about nathian here. Nathan seemed to being looking at me with a soft exspression on his face that made me have a funny feeling in chest. I turned my horse towards lucy and Suzy who where looking at me and nathian. Lucy was about to say something until she saw my exspression on my face. I was telling my self the while way to lucius that I would not fall for nathian. Sammy came to ride next to me while Lucy and Suzy rode with nathian.
