Adam's POV
Wow, it's such a cold night, but a lovely night. What is that?
"Nathan... you... idiot....!" Maria was saying in between her sobs.
Should I knock and ask or should I find Nathan and make him explain. No.
"Where is Nathan?" I whispered as I passed Maria's old room. "What the hell are you going in here Nathan?"
"Um... well I may have been a little stupid and she locked me out of our room." Nathan said sitting up and staring at me. I ran my hands over my face.
"What the hell Nathan! What did you do?!" Nathan ran his hands thro his hair.
"Well I asked her to marry me and she said 'I don't know' and I just got upset so I left the room and saw one of the servants and kissed her and Maria saw it and one thing led to another I've been forced to come and sleep in her old room." I just shook my head and ran my hand thro my hair again.
"Okay, stay right there don't leave this room do you hear me?" Nathan nodded his head as I walked out of the room. I walked all the way to the servant quarters and looked for Suzy, Lucy, Simon, Sophie and Sammy who I knew where all throwing back wine caps. I heard them all laughing from the top of the stairs to the kitchen. "Well, well. You lady and gentle men are very loud. They all looked over at me laughing still. Lucy was the one who got up and came and gave me a huge. Wow she never seemed to show any emotion to anyone apart from her sister and Maria. "Hi to you too Lucy."
"I'm the only one in the room who hasn't had a night cap yet I wanted to share one with you, if that's okay with you?" I nodded my head and was about to sit down and have a night cap with the beautiful girl when I remembered.
"Ah can we have one later?" Lucy nodded her head in disappointment but did object. "um we all have to go to Maria's old room and talk to Nathan.
"What he do know?" Sophie piped up from the other side of the table.
"He should tell you himself." Sophie rolled her eyes and got up and dragged Sammy with her. I followed with Lucy and everyone else behind us.
"What's happening here?"We all looked at the person standing at the top of the stairs. Mark of course had probably heard them all laughing and come to join in.
"where going to kick your brothers ass want to come." Sophie said pushing passed mark with Sammy and walking straight into Maria's old room. We all ran quickly to the room to make sure Nathan didn't get hit. "okay smart one tell us what happened."
Nathan repeated what he told me. everyone sat there in silence until Sophie and Sammy started laughing we all looked at them like they had gone crazy. "whats so funny?"
"your face! You look like its the end of the world." Nathan shook his head and ran his hands through his hair. Sophie and Sammy suddenly got up. "where is Maria?"
"In the main bedroom crying." I said Lucy looked over the garden at the door.
"Oh thanks Adam. Come one everyone lets go and check on her." Everyone started to move out of the room when I grabbed Lucy's hand and pulled her back.
"I have to go back on duty but when I'm done... will that night cap with you still stand?" Lucy smiled at me and nodded then she did something I never expected her to do but she leant in and kissed me on the cheek. "Okay I'll see you a little later then."
"Okay then handsome." Lucy left the room leaving me to continue my rounds. I grabbed Simon who was outside the door about to grab Lucy when I pulled him back to our post near the training rink.
