Perrie is in the middle of a deep, peaceful slumber when she suddenly starts thrashing around through the bed in an uneasy fashion. Usually she is a pretty heavy sleeper but right now she senses that something is off which gets her to wake up. The first thing she sees when she sleepily opens her eyes is the dark bedroom, a clear sign that it's still in the middle of the night. Groaning, Perrie grumpily pulls the covers over her head in frustration. Why oh why did she have to wake up while she still has plenty of time to sleep?! It's already bad enough to have to wake up in the morning but during the night it's even worse! She would prefer to continue sleeping over waking up randomly without a good reason! Officially moody now, Perrie decides to snuggle into her girlfriend in an attempt to relax herself so that she can go back to sleep as quickly as possible so that as little precious hours that she could spent sleeping are wasted. According to her it's a crime not to take your hours of sleep when you can get them and in order to do that, she has to calm down. Thinking of how cuddling with Jade always gets her to relax and feel loved makes Perrie warm inside and she can't help but smile despite her bad mood. That smile is quickly wiped off her face when she actually wants to cuddle up to her lover though because it doesn't take long for her to figure out that Jade is not next to her in the bed!! Exactly at the moment that she does this discovery, faint sounds of sobbing get Perrie's attention. Before she was too sleepy to notice them but now she does and it instantly gives her a very unsettling feeling. Something must be wrong with her girlfriend! Suddenly not feeling sleepy anymore at all, Perrie throws her covers off and practically jumps out of the bed. Sleeping is the last thing on her mind now that she knows her Jadey needs her!

Perrie follows the sounds of the sobbing and concludes that they are coming from the balcony of the apartment that she shares with her girlfriend. What would Jade be doing there in the middle of the night?! She is too concerned to try and come up with a logical answer so Perrie hastily rushes to open the door that leads to the balcony. Jade has not noticed her yet because she is standing with her back to the door and looks off the balcony while trying to get her sobbing under control and keep the noises that she is making down. Perrie is so worried that she doesn't even have time to be hurt that Jade has not woken her up and instead chose to be sad on the balcony all by herself. But what is Jade holding in her right hand?! Perrie, who was just about to open the door, freezes on the spot when she sees that Jade has a cigarette in her hand! If she wasn't worried before, she now certainly is! Jade hardly ever cries and after losing her granddad to cancer, Jade has vowed to never smoke again. Of course Perrie supported her with this decision. It didn't go unnoticed by Perrie that her girlfriend had a lot of trouble to quit smoking even though she genuinely wanted to stop and was determined to do so. Now that she is so sad, Jade must have had a set back... This means that Jade must be very upset and that there is something serious going on. And that Jade is going to be very disappointed within herself for smoking again when she is out of this sad state. The sadness must have overwhelmed her so badly that she felt like she had to get back to smoking in order to try and drown it out. This realisation fills Perrie with intense worry and she doesn't waste anymore time to open the door. Doing that immediately makes her realise how freezing cold it is on the balcony and Jade is only wearing her pyjamas!

Jade practically jumps in fright when she hears the door opening behind her. She thought that Perrie was fast asleep! When she realises what she is holding in her right hand, her eyes go wide and she panicky puts out her cigarette before quickly throwing it off the balcony in the hope that her girlfriend hasn't noticed it. At the same time she desperately tries even harder to hold back her sobs without much result. Seeing the disturbed look in Perrie's eyes makes her realise that Perrie must have seen the cigarette already which scares her very badly. She had promised to never smoke again but it's proving to be very hard for her to stop so she has been doing it behind Perrie's back for quite awhile now. She doesn't want her girlfriend to find out that she hasn't kept her promise and possibly to think that she's weak!
