Jade smiles as she plucks the sticky note adressed to her from the livingroom table and hugs it to her chest. While she went to school early this morning to be on time for one of her final exams, Perrie got to sleep in. Her classes only started around eleven o'clock so she had all the time in the world to write a sweet note for her girlfriend and leave it at an obvious place in their shared apartment so that Jade could find it easily.

Hi Jadey,

I hope your exam from this morning went well. I can't wait for us to spend our free afternoon together after my classes are done. I miss you already so you better not be surprised if I come home early... You're probably not gonna be in favour of that and go on and on about how I should take my education seriously but I choose being lectured by my favourite home tutor over being bored in class anytime... Speaking of which, I might need your help later today with maths as the square roots are proving to be very hard to understand. I'm sure I can count on you to make this topic a lot more fun... ;)

Lots of love,

Pez

Jade's heart flutters happily in response to the sweet message of her girlfriend while she simultaneously rolls her eyes fondly. No matter how many times she tries to seriously help Perrie with her schoolwork, they never get anything done because she always ends up with Perrie distracting her from the school subject that they need to cover by flirting with her. Perrie will always be Perrie. That doesn't make her appreciate her sweet gesture any less though. Jade would be lying if she claimed that she was surprised by the sweet gesture since they leave notes for each other all the time when they can't be together to show their affection physically. Her lack of surprise doesn't take away that whenever she finds a note, she always feels loved. Hopefully her note that is waiting for Perrie in her lunchbox will have the same effect. Before she went to do her exam this morning, Jade hastily added a chocolate bar to Perrie's lunch with a similar sweet note stuck on it. Food, and especially chocolate, always improves Perrie's mood at school and Jade hopes that'll help her to concentrate in class.

Just when Jade is about to go and make herself some lunch, her eye falls on something else that is laying on the kitchen table. She picks it up to find out that it's Perrie's report card. Because of how focused she was on the sticky note, she had not seen it yet. For a moment she hesitates whether she should read it or not but they have no secrets for each other and Perrie would not have laid it out here in the open if she did not want Jade to read it. Feeling like she is given permission, Jade quickly reads over it and doing so gets her smile to dim significantly. Perrie's grades are appalling and it's obvious that if she goes on like this, she is going to fail everything there is to fail especially since the finals are just around the corner. The school year is almost over, there is only the last term left.

Frowning, Jade starts pacing through the room while re-reading the report card over and over again. Unfortunately, no matter how many times she reads it, the results stay the same... How could this happen?! Jade is fully aware of what this means: Perrie is gonna fail miserably when she has to do her finals and that means she can kiss her big dream to become a vet goodbye. In contrast to Jade, Perrie has never been one to care much about her grades or school in general. While Jade did her upmost to get the best grades she could possibly get, Perrie was satisfied with the bare minimum she needed to pass her exams. Of course Jade tried her best to motivate her girlfriend to work harder in school but she never really made a problem out of Perrie's laziness as she accepted and loved her girlfriend the way she is. But this is completely different, Perrie's dream of becoming a vet is about to be crushed just because she does not apply herself at school.
