"Pez? Are you sure you're okay? I mean, I know that you have assured me about five times that you are feeling fine today but I can't help but notice that you sound different than usual..." Jade asks for the umpteenth time.
The girls are rehearsing for the upcoming confetti tour but it's obvious to Jade that Perrie is a bit under the weather.
"Of course I am! I've told you, Jade, I'm just a bit tired and you asking every five seconds is not helping! I'm feeling perfectly fine" Perrie snaps while panting from the dancing they have just done and wiping away some sweat from her forehead.
Jade raises her eyebrow in suspicion. It's not like Perrie to get annoyed so easily... This only makes her think even more that her girlfriend is not feeling too well! Perrie has not been herself over the past few days at all: she likes her sleep even more than usual, she is wearing a lot of make up to their dance rehearsal while she usually doesn't do that and she is sweating more than usual too.
"No offense, baba, but you don't look 'fine' to me at all... Do you want to take a little break? You look tired" Jade expresses concerned, putting a gentle hand on top of her lover's arm.
Perrie roughly shakes Jade's arm off and frowns. It's obvious to her that Jade is on to her and that makes her feel very guilty. Over the past few days she has not been feeling well at all but she knows that if Jade finds out about that, she will make her go to the doctor and she is really dreading that... The last time she had the flu, she had been given an injection to help her heal faster. While the shot really helped her recovery, Perrie has very bad memories of that instance because she is terrified of needles and during the treatment she was near hysterics. She does not want to have to go through that again! So she has decided to suck it up and wait for her sickness to go away by itself. It might not be the most effective and mature approach but it is the safest one. Any approach that will keep her away from the doctor's office and most of all the terrifying shot is a good one, according to Perrie. Unfortunately she knows that Jade definitely won't agree with that so she has successfully managed to cover up her coughs and sneezes and hide her illness that way but she knows deep down that she can't keep this up forever... Having to hide her illness has been exhausting!
"Jade, I'm gonna tell you one last time: I'm fine!!!" she shouts, souding a bit hoarse which makes everyone in the room freeze and look at her in shock.
Leigh-Anne, Jesy and all the dancers are staring at Perrie, who mentally facepalms and decides to smile sheepishly in the hope that will miraculously make everyone forget about the fact that she just openly announced that she has a sore throat.
Jade shakes her head in disbelief. "That's it! I knew it! I just knew that you were not feeling well, I just didn't want to falsely accuse you of lying! You are a great actress, Pez, but now you have given it away. We are going home right now!"
Before Perrie knows what is happening, she feels Jade firmly gripping her arm and pulling her in the direction of the door with determination. Everyone present is still staring, they have gathered what's going on and they are a bit concerned but glad that Jade is clearly gonna take care of things. During the past few days of rehearsals everyone has noticed that Perrie was not on her best but Perrie covered up her sickness really well so they weren't sure what was wrong. At least now that they found out, Perrie will be taken care of.
