If you Spare my Sister? (Douma X Kanae)

Chapter 3: Week Forty

Thirty weeks later Douma is waiting nervously outside his room when the doctor comes to the door, "Are they both ok?" Douma asks.

"They're both fine and your wife wants to see you." The doctor responds

Douma pushes past the doctor and gets to the bed where Kanae is holding their child, "How are you my loving wife?" he asked worried.

"I'm fine, just exhausted and sore from the whole process." Kanae responds.

The doctor walks over and picks up the child and places it to a crib, "Sir? Your wife should be fine. I'll leave cleaning her up to you and let her rest."

"Ok sir! Thanks for your help with my child!" Douma says. The doctor nods, packs his stuff, and leaves. Douma then looks at Kanae and asks, "May I clean up your blood?"

Kanae looks at him and nods, "Yes husband."

Douma places his hand down into a small pool of Kanae's blood and absorbs the blood, "Aaaaa~ Delicious!" Douma begins caressing her hair, "Is the baby human or demon?"

"I think he's human. He doesn't look like a demon." Kanae responds exhausted.

"What should we name him?" Douma asked.

Kanae thinks for a minute then responds, "Giyuu. That was the name of my sister's secret boyfriend. She's not great at keeping secrets."

Douma laughs at that, "Well Giyuu it is!" Douma then kneels to Kanae and says, " I swear I pledge my life to protect you and Giyuu. I will never let any harm come to either of you!"

Kanae smiles at him and responds, "I know!"

Douma smiles, "glad you know that! I do have an important question... Do we want to raise our child to be a Demon Slayer or a Demon? No matter what you choose I'll stay with you and protect both of you."

"What do you mean?" Kanae asked, confused.

"Well it'd be a waste to not to train him to be one or the other. If he's my child he'll be power if raised properly he could quickly become a powerful demon. Or if you don't feel right making a demon I understand so we can train him to be a demon slayer."

Kanae responds, "He'll be a demon Slayer. If I can't protect the innocent anymore then I might as well raise someone who can."

"Ok Kanae! No problem with me! Like I said I'll stay right here with you and Giyuu. I'll asset you in his training anyway I can, but you must never reveal I'm a demon."

Kanae nods her head, "I'll never reveal you're a demon my only worry is can you hide that fact for years?"

"Don't worry wife! I can do it I promise!" Douma assures her.

"Well If you say so I trust you after all you're my husband!" Kanae respondes happily.

"Thanks Wife!" Douma picks up the child, careful not to wake him up, "Aww so cute!"

Kanae smiles seeing Douma hold Giyuu, "I never saw you as the father type."

Douma laughs too, "I can be anything for you! Well you get some sleep now Wife you've earned it after what you just went through!"

"Thanks Husband." Kanae lays down, closes her eyes and goes to sleep.
