"I have a few secrets that no one knows about except my brother and my Mom." Karina said.
"Okay." I said.
"I am actually two weeks pregnant with Micheals baby, that's why he was trying to kill me." Karina said.
"Wait was?" I asked. "Isn't he still out there trying to get you?"
Karina shakes her head, a happy smile on her face.
"He got caught at the hospital and was put in jail." Karina said.
Huh, serves him right.
"Is that why-"
"I had a wall wrapped around my heart?" Karina finishes my sentence.
I nod.
She smiles and nods.
" I lied to him saying that I wasn't pregnant with his baby and somehow he found out and he started chasing me, trying to kill me so the baby wouldn't make it." Karina said.
Wow that's . . . deep.
"Another secret I have is . . . I'm in love with you." Karina said. "Have been since I first saw you and I didn't think I would see as much as I did."
My cheeks start to burn.
"Are you serious?" I asked.
She nods.
"And I want to have your baby." She said. "Well . . . after this one is born and I heal correctly."
She's rubbing her stomach.
"Karina . . ." I mumble.
"Or I could wait until we graduate out of high school." Karina says, happily.
"Can we do that?" I asked.
Karina laughs.
"Yes, we can." She said, bending down to kiss me.
"Anything else?" I asked.
"No, but I do have a question." She said.
"Okay." I said. "What is it?"
"Do you want to be my boyfriend?" She asked.
"Are you kidding?" I asked. "Yes!"
I reach up and grab her and kiss her as she laughs with joy.
"I love you." She said as we lay in her bed, cuddling.
I kiss her forehead.
"I love you more."

Five years later
Karina ended up having a baby boy and he is five years old. Thank god he looks like his Mom rather than his dumb ass Dad. Karina names him Lex. Lex knows that I'm not his real father but he doesn't care. One day he told me that he'd rather have me as a father than some criminal as a father. It made me feel special.
Today is a very special day because today Karina and I are having a baby shower for Lexs sibling. Neither one of us knows what gender the baby is. Karina wants a boy but I want a daughter. We invited our close friends and family. Rodgers ended up having a baby girl who is about two and a half years old, her name is Emily.
Molly is now in seventh grade and has a boyfriend who I'm a fan of (but I like to make her think that I'm not). He treats her right. She's figured out that she wants to be a costume designer for movies and tv shows so she volunteers at our local (play) theatre every summer to help make the costumes for plays and let me tell you she is one talented girl and I'm not just saying that because she's my sister.
Meanwhile Karina and I had finally moved out of our parents house and got our own, not too far from their homes.
Everyone was eating cake when Karina couldn't wait anymore to see what gender she was having. She also knew something that I didn't know and I was eager to find out.
"Can I please have everyone's attention?" Karina said.
Our family and friends started to quiet down. I was sitting in the crowd admiring my soon to be wife.
"Thank you all for coming out it really means a lot to Alex and I and we are very excited to bring new life on this beautiful earth." Karina said. "Now who's ready for the baby's gender to be revealed?"
The guest cheered.
"Let's hope it's a girl!" Dad yelled.
I laugh and so does Karina. Karina grabs the gender reveal cannon and shoots out the smoke. The crowd started cheering but then stopped. Everyone was confused including me because both pink and blue smoke came out of the cannon.
"Oops." Karina said through laughter. "Did I forget to mention that we're having twins?"
Lex and I look at each other with the same facial expression. We both get up and run towards Karina. She laughs as she sees us approach her. We give her a huge hug.
"We're having a boy and a girl?" I asked.
A tear falls down Karinas cheek. I wipe it away as she nods.
"Holy crap." I say as I hug her again.
"I love you." I say.
"I love you too." She said.
I kneel on my knees and kiss her stomach.
"I love you guys too." I tell the twins.
And I guess this is where my story ends. Karina, Lex, and I decide the name the twins, Jack and Jacky the night of the baby shower. I honestly enjoyed it because I had never seen Dad cry as much as he did today. When I'm done brushing my teeth and putting Lex to bed I go Karinas and I room. She's laying in bed sleep. I slip in next to her and kiss her forehead (my favorite spot to kiss her other than her sweet cinnamon tasting lips) and turn off the lights. I lay in bed and stare at the ceiling and think about how I got the key to her heart.
