After the whole rat incident and everything Rodgers had came over after school to visit Molly. He brought Tyler with him too.
"Where's the other two?" I asked.
If we're being honest I forgot their names. I'm surprised I remembered Tyler's name.
"With their parents." Rodgers replies sitting down on the couch.
Tyler was awake and was staring at everything. I think he was trying to take in his surroundings, which is . . . good . . . I think. He started talking in his baby language and he put his fist in his mouth.
"He's adorable." Molly said, looking at Tyler.
Rodgers grabbed one of Tyler's fists and said in his best baby voice;
"Thank you."
Tyler looked up at his uncle like he was crazy. He then snatched his fist from Rodgers hand and he started talking to his uncle, head bobbing and everything.
"Okay, okay, I'm sorry." Rodgers said.
Tyler kept talking, his facial expressions serious. It was like he was trying to get his point across. Very mature.
"Look, I'm sorry." Rodgers said.
Tyler then used all his baby might to punch Rodgers leg. He said a few words and looked at the TV, that was displaying 'Shrek'.
"I feel bad for his future wife." Rodgers said.
"Me too." I agree.
"How do you know he's going to get married?" Molly asked.
"Well . . . everyone gets married." Rodgers answers.
Molly makes a disgusted face.
"I'm not getting married." Molly states as if it was a known fact.
She had even turned her attention back to the TV.
"Ay! What about us?" Rodgers asked.
"What about us?" Molly asked.
"I thought we were together!" Rodgers whined, playfully.
He poked his bottom lip out and tried to look sad, it didn't work because Molly stares at him and laughs.
"We never happened, sweetie." Molly said.
Damn!
"Oh, it's like that?" Rodgers asked.
"Like what?" Molly asked.
"Dang dawg, you just got duuummpeed!" I said, laughing.
Tyler has even started laughing.
"You know I loved you before." Rodgers told Tyler. "Now I don't."
Rodgers hands Tyler to me.
"He's you're uncle now." Rodgers said.
He started fake crying.
"I thought you loved me."
Everyone, including me stared at Rodgers like he was dumb. Tyler then started laughing again. He started to wiggle in my lap. His little feet was tickling my thighs. He then reached over and tried to grab his red, blue, and yellow ball. Rodgers noticed him and he gave him the ball.
"Little brat." He mumbled.
Tyler sticks his tongue out a little as he studied the ball in his hands.
"Hey, did you know there's a new girl at school?" Rodgers asked.
Karina immediately came to mind.
"No." I replied. "I didn't go to school today."
"Oh, right." Rodgers said. "Well there's this new girl at school and she seemed really shy."
All I could think of is Karina.
"What did she look like?" I asked.
"Full of beauty, no princess could over take her beauty." Rodgers replied.
Yep that's definitely Karina.
"Why?" He adds.
"Oh no reason." I said.
Rodgers just looks at me.
"Ah, no there's a reason, come on I'm your homie, you can tell me anything." Rodgers said. "So spill."
I put Tyler on my left leg and start to bounce it and he enjoyed it.
"Well yesterday I met this beautiful girl in a parking lot." I explain. "She had big hazel eyes and long brown hair."
I started to daydream about her.
"Okay monsta." Rodgers said, placing a heavy hand on my shoulder, making me jump. "Stop fantasizing about her."
"Dude I can't, she's just that beautiful!"
"Okay." Rodgers said slowly.
"Did the new girl have any of those features?" I asked.
"She had long brown hair and beauty, that's all I could see, she's in our English class." Rodgers replies. "You'll get to see her tomorrow."
The new girl is in our English class? That's amazing! Rodgers then gets a text. He pulls out his phone and looks at it. When he puts his phone away he grabs Tyler and stands up.
"Alright buddy, time to get you to Momma." Rodgers said, grabbing Tyler's diaper bag from the floor.
He put the bag on his shoulder and walked over to Molly who wasn't paying attention to us boys and kissed her on the cheek. I think he scared her because she jumped, almost clocking Rodgers in the head.
"Bye Molls, I hope your foot gets better soon so I can take you to the park and play tag with you." Rodgers said.
"Bye, doo-doo head." Molly said with a huge grin on her face.
Rodgers chuckles and tussles her hair.
"Hey you're messing up my hair, it took me forever to perfect this master piece!" Molly yells.
"Really, how long did it take you?" Rodgers asked.
"Five minutes." Molly replies.
I laugh a little.
"Oh, well I'm sorry." Rodgers said.
I stand and walk Rodgers to the door. When we got to the door Rodgers said;
"You have a mean sister."
"I just think kids like to mess with you." I said, looking at Tyler.
He then yells at the ball angrily and throws it on the ground.
"Ay!" Rodgers yelled.
He squatted down and grabbed the ball and put it in the diaper bag as Tyler laughed.
"I'm starting to think that kids don't like me." Rodgers said, looking at Tyler's head.
Tyler was playing with Rodgers black beaded necklace.
"Are you going to the game tomorrow?" Rodgers asked.
"So it's official?" I asked.
Rodgers nodded.
"They announced it during Study Hall today." Rodgers replies.
"Well hell yeah, I'll be there!" I said excitedly.
"Wow, watch your mouth!" He said. "Disrespectful!"
Tyler started talking in his baby language again and he was taking to me.
"Yeah, that's right, tell him." Rodgers said.
"Sorry." I say.
Tyler started to swat the air.
"Where does he get this attitude?" I asked.
"Most likely his mother, we men know the ladies have bad attitudes." Rodgers said. "And this guy inherited it from his ugly mother."
I chuckle a little.
"Alright, well I better get going." Rodgers said, walking towards the yards gate. "I'll see you tomorrow at school."
"See you tomorrow." I said.
I watch Rodgers put Tyler in the car and watch him get in the car and drive off. He honked as he drove off. I waved at him and walked back into the house.
