AMELIA'S POV
As the sun slowly rise up the horizons, I snuggled myself in his chest. He let out a soft chuckle and held me even tighter. We were now back in the palace, in Jasper's balcony. We placed a mat on the floor as we lay ourselves, cuddling, outside of his room. I felt the cold morning breeze brushed on my face and I felt his hands hold mine tightly. With our fingers intertwined with each other's, the cold golden rings lay still on them.
"It's my first time to watch sunrise." I said so out of the blue.
"Really?" He asked while looking up as he carefully brushed his fingers through my hair.
"Hmm. It's wonderful isn't it?" I asked staring directly at the sunrise.
"What? Being unofficially married to you or the sunrise?" Jasper asked me, giggling. I looked up to him and he lowered his eyes to meet mine.
"Both." I said with a smile across my face. My smile slowly faded as a thought popped into my head. Jasper held a hand over my cheek and he looked at me, worried.
"What is it love?" He asked in a worried tone.
"Will you really take me as your Queen Jasper?" I asked him with a sigh.
"Would I go down on one knee and propose to you like that if I wouldn't?" He answered me back with a question. He gently pulled me up to sit on his lap.
"What about Aledrinna? I'm an only child Jasper. The only heir to the throne." I said looking down to our hands, still with our fingers intertwined.
JASPER'S POV
"I'm an only child Jasper. The only heir to the throne." She said as she looked down. She couldn't meet my eyes, she looked at everything around us, everything except for my eyes.
"Hey." I said as I placed my hand on her chin, gently pulling it up so she could meet my gaze.
"I'm sure we can do something about that. Do you have cousins?" I asked her still with my hands on her chin. She looked up at the ceiling while trying to avoid my eyes.
"Uhm....I guess I have some on my mother's side. Father ,on the other hand, is an only child and so are his parents. I lost track of the royal bloodline after my grandparent." She said and tears began to invade her eyes.
"Hey. Hey look at me Amelia." I said as I cupped her cheek. "If there is a will, there is a way. And I am more than willing to marry you love, beyond willing to make you my queen, my wife." I said to her, smiling. She sighed and closed her eyes and slowly nodded. But as if almost immediately, she shook her head.
"But what if-" I gave her a quick peck on the lips before she could even finish her sentence. When we pulled away, I see a smile painted on her face. What a beautiful canvas.
"You will be the queen of Bridgedret, you will be my Queen who would stay by my side, sitting down, looking pretty as always." I paused for a bit and I laughed when I see her forehead creased. Does she really not know how beautiful she is? Up until now? "While loving me whole heartedly and endlessly, till death do us part." I said to her while staring directly in her eyes. As if she saw my dreamy eyes sparkle, she closed hers and a smile made its way through her lips before she leaned in forward to kiss me.
We pulled apart catching our breaths and I planted a soft kiss on her forehead. We faced the sun once more as it started shining brightly up in the sky. Moments later, her breathing steadied as I held her in between my arms. We haven't got any sleep you see. So I scooped her up and gently lay her on my bed and covered her with my warm comforter. She lay there looking so heavenly as ever. I kissed her forehead once more before grabbing a pillow and walked towards the couch. I lay my drained self on the couch, snuggling with the throw pillows. I stared at Amelia fast asleep in my bed and soon enough my eyes closed.
