CHAPTER 10

I woke up the next morning and i smiled at the sight of Amelia fast asleep by my side. Her beautiful golden brown hair all over the bed, her thick lashes, her adorable pointy nose, her rosy cheeks and her thin pale lips. She held my hand tightly as she curls up against my chest.

She loves me. I must be the luckiest man on earth.

I stared at her, her forehead creased and her brows suddenly furrowed. Her breathing became unsteady as she started to tremble. I held her tightly and kissed her eyelids. She stopped trembling the moments my lips brushed against her face and her breathing steadied. She slowly opened her eyes and smiled at me.

"Good morning Jasper." She said as she cupped my face.

"Good morning Amelia." I placed a hand over hers. "What do you want to do today love?" I asked her.

"Stay in bed." She said as she snuggled herself even more comfortably.

"With me?" I asked with my brows raised high.

"Why not?" She looked at me with a questioning look.

"And what will mother say about this?"

"She'll say that we're sleeping. Please, we have been together since we were six. The entire country thinks your my brother."

"That's not true."

"It is! Try going out sometimes will you?"

"Why don't we go outside then?"

"I'd rather not. I'm sure your father will let you bring at least 20 guards and your mother would highly disagree with you leaving palace walls."

"Who said anything about guards and permission?"

"What do you have in mind?" She eyed me and took the blanket off her.

"All we need is a disguise." I said as I winked at her.

"Are you suggesting we sneak out?" She asked as her eyes widened.

"Don't you want to?"

"hmmm. It's fine i guess."

"Then out we go!" I said happily.

"I would love to roam around the village Jasper. Meet the people and children! I love children! They're just so adorable!"

"We need a disguise though."

"I can talk to some maids."

"And i'll get mine from the guards."

"What about your parents?" She asked worried.

"leave it to me." I assured her.

"Ok then." She said before she cupped my face. "Are you sure about this?"

"why?"

"What i mean is like I'm completely fine if we stay in the palace for the day. We might get caught you know."

"Nonsense. We won't get caught. All you have to do is trust me." i said as i held her hands.

"Ok then." She breathed out. "I trust you." She said and i kissed her hand.

Knock! Knock! Knock!

"It's open! Come in!" I said.

"Good morning Jasp- Woah! My, hello there Amelia!" Kiara said as she placed a hand over her mouth.

"Good morning Kiara." Amelia said while giggling.

"Good morning!" Kiara said as her gazed turned over to me. "How are you today Jasper?" she said with a mischievous grin on her face.
