"You still wanna watch movie?" I asked when we were settled in our car. Natapos ang aming hapunan, waring nawala na ang pader na nakaharang sa aming dalawa.
Naitanong ko dahil bahagyang namugto na ang kanyang mata at namumula ang kanyang ilong.
I suddenly touched her cheek with my thumb that's why she smiled.
"I cried hard, yes, but this will be our first movie to watch in the cinema so yeah, let's still watch it." ani Gio.
I smirked at her then nodded.
Magdadalawang linggo na simula noong nakapag-usap kami ni Gio ng mabuti. I started courting her like what I have planned.
She loves flowers so giving it to her is a part of my courtship. I gave her flowers every morning everyday. Sent her another flowers in the afternoon, and in the evening, I'll give her a white rose.
"Do you know what it means?" I asked her the first time I gave her a white rose.
"Hmm, white roses have different meanings," she said. "It means purity, innocence and youthfulness. According to google though." She chuckled.
"Well, I saw this romance movie once and it gave meaning to a white rose. That's my reference."
"Hmm, what is it, then?"
"I'm loyal and worthy of you." I answered.
But after a week of giving her flowers, she asked me to stop because she doesn't know what to do with the bunch of flowers I'm giving her. Punong puno na raw ang vases namin kaya itinigil ko na. Well I'm sorry, this is my first time to do it. I just can't stop myself.
Hindi nga lang natapos ang pagbigay ko sa kanya ng puting rosas tuwing gabi.
At sa ilang linggong iyon, hindi namin isinatinig ngunit... pakiramdam namin pinaglilihian ni Hal si Gio. In those weeks, Gio visited Hal in her flower shop for about five times nonconsecutively. Lagi siyang iniimbitahan ni Hal.
"Someone's loving you too." I told her one time on our way home from Halaina's flower shop.
"I-I don't know what to say," she chuckled. "Ngayon lang ba naging ganto si Hal?"
"Well, she's pregnant. Ngayon lang iyon."
"I mean didn't she invite Kaia and Louie for a visit this much?"
"They visit her but not this much."
About Vince and his parents' problem, we don't talk about it. We just know that their families are joyous for their first child. They are excited about that little one. We all are.
And also for those weeks, we busied ourselves to work. Para rin wala kaming maiwang trabaho kapag nagsimula na ang gagawin naming bakasyon. Gio wanted us to make sure that there's no problem that might occur while we're away.
Umaga ng sabado nang sabihan ako ni Gio na gusto niyang ipakilala sa akin ng lubusan ang kanyang dalawang malapit na kaibigan. Gusto niya sanang gawin agad iyon noong mga nakaraang araw, ngunit gusto niya rin matapos muna ang mga trabaho bago iyon mangyari. I already know Rikki, but not her guy friend Isaiah. I may have bad thoughts about him but he made himself a companion to Gio while I'm away so there's a reason I should be casual to him.
Sa isang club sa BGC mamayang gabi ang napag-usapang kitaan. Gio doesn't want loud and crowded place for this meet up but her friend insisted to do it in a club. Gio even asked permission to me first which I allowed.
It's okay for me. As long as I'm with her, then there's no problem. But then, I don't wanna be strict about this matter. Ayaw ko namang masakal siya. I'll let her, but if she wants me to go with her, then I will, definitely.
