Wesley’s POV
Keith does not realize that I don’t care about Rose. This is not about the damn girl. This is about him being in the wrong, betraying me and still playing the victim! That bastard must thank Clumsy for showing up on the time that she did because I could not hold it back anymore. I can’t make complete sense of why I stopped when I saw Clumsy. I found myself not wanting her to see my violent side and how merciless I become when someone messes with me.
‘Are you okay?’ her voice calmly asks. Its Clumsy. I don’t even have to turn around to know its her.
‘I am good. Just leave me alone and give me my space to breathe’ I know I have reached my boiling point. I can feel it in my blood. I don’t want her seeing me this way and I don’t want to end up venting my rage at her because the girl can get mad when she likes hey.
‘You don’t like sugar concentrated food do you?’ Wow.
Cheryl has this weird habit of just asking weird, unexpected questions when you not in the moods. Most of the time it makes me want to laugh and it cheers me up. It’s like- Really! Out of all questions you could ask, you choose to ask about food? At a time like this?!
‘No. I don’t really like junk’ I decide to simply reply her so that she can be satisfied and walk away.
‘That explains why you always so sour’ she says and I can’t help but faintly laugh. This chick is crazy. She walks towards me, throws her side bag on the floor and steals the ball from my hands.
‘I see you got some skills over there huh? ’ I look at her playing around with the ball and she scores. Not bad for a girl. She is so adorable. My hands feel hungry to just touch her especially in the state that I am in, so I just slide them in my pockets.
‘My male bestfriend did a great job don’t you think?’ she says and looks at me. I don’t know how I feel about hearing that she has a male bestfriend because I am a guy. I know what ‘male bestfriends’ do. That’s how it all starts.
I look at her and I get an urge of just pressing her against my chest and having her lips crash on mine. I bite my bottom lip and she gives me this look I have never seen from her before. The kind of look I would likely give her when I was being sly or just up to no good. It makes it so difficult for me to tell what she is thinking because she is just acting out of character, but in a alluring manner.
I slowly walk closer to her and she blows me off by also taking a few steps to meet me halfway. She is actually feeling….bold. She holds the ball behind her back and closes our gap. She now has her chest pressed against mine, tippy toeing to reach my height and gazes into my eyes. She releases the ball and her fingers find their way to my cheek. It feels cold, just the right temperature to cool me down off the heat I was in due to my rage. My cells are blazing. The urge intensifies as I just look at this irresistible being standing in front of me. She bites her bottom lip and that was enough to throw me over the cliff. I can’t help it. I secure my hands on her waist and I lean in. Just as I am a finger away from kissing her , she says:
‘Don’t kiss me. Rule number one: resist temptations’ she says in a whisper and gives a devious smile.
Fuck no, she didn’t.
She is something else. No girl has ever been able to resist my touch . but she just did, more over, she had me longing and craving for her touch, as if the tables were just turned for a second there. I’m impressed. She picks her side back from the floor.
‘Keep practicing captain’ she says and walks away. I bite my lip and run my fringers through my hair.Just after she exits ,the bell rings. I am a lot calmer than when I walked in here.
