A week passed and things continued as normal, well mostly normal. You couldn't deny the fact that you'd been seeing spencer in a different light lately. Ever since the plane ride your mind had been plagued with the thought. This was exactly why you were so relieved the team were planning on going to the bar tonight, this way you could clear your mind by getting a little shitfaced and flirting with someone else. The plan was fool proof.

As you pressed the elevator button for the bottom floor you heard someone call frantically for you to hold the doors open. Watching through the gap you saw a hurrying spencer rushing towards you at full speed, and just as he was nearing you he dropped the book he was carrying in front of him, his legs collapsing in on themselves causing him to tumble to the floor before stumbling back to his feet. Checking the room to make sure nobody else had seen he brushed himself off and strode calmly through the doors ,you couldn't help but giggle as he finally made his way into the elevator looking at you slightly embarassed.

"impressive", you nodded in approval, and as the doors closed the both of you erupted into a fit of laughter.

Catching his breath he managed to ask in between laughs whether or not you were making an appearance at the bar tonight .

"Of course, and how about you Dr calamity?"

"well I suppose I will, it always turns out interesting, especially when you're there", you noted that he said the last part hesitantly, as if he had been premeditating whether he should say it or not.

"Really...." you bit your lip teasingly, trying to get more out of him.

He smiled at the floor and licked his lips before replying "Yes, aside from being witty and charming you also always manage to look effortlessly stunning"

Woah, that didn't sound like spencer. Then again you had been inadvertently flirty with him ever since the plane and you guessed this was him returning that same energy. You had to be honest, you were hoping this side of him would show more often, and you had been doing all that you could (within reason) to get it.

"you don't clean up so bad yourself " you said whilst making intense eye contact, the tension becoming oddly high all of a sudden.

The elevator doors pinged open cutting his coming reply short. As you pulled away from his stare to exit the elevator you called to him in a last attempt to make him flustered

"I'll see you there then, oh and spence try not to fall over again on the way home"
