~Edited chapter. God did my writing really suck this much when I was 12? Wow. I'm sorry for putting my readers through with all the spelling and grammar mistakes xD. My writing back then is extremely cringe worthy.~

For the next hour, we work on jumping. Show jumping.

Although I was okay at jumping over poles, it was not my strong point. No, my strong point was in the meadow, jumping across logs and other obstacles. Cross country was my thing, not stuck in a cramped arena jumping around and around the same jumps.  I wished I was out doing cross country, but even so,  I did what Zoey asked. Somehow, we managed not to tap any of the poles, and we were off with a clean round so far.

As we jumped the course, Zoey still seems mad at me. She kicks me when I go slow, instead of giving a soft nudge into my belly.

"Come one Pepper! Faster!" She whispered, clearly annoyed. I breathe heavily, sweat pouring down my face. I don't know how much faster I can go. As we approach the last jump, she gives a mighty kick, one that hurt so much, that I halted inches away from the jump, sending my back legs up.....and Zoey over the jump. She screamed and flailed as she soared through the air, then landed on the other side with a 'thump'.

The other girls galloped over on their horses, with Bailey and Will following close behind.

"Oh my god!" Sara said as she jumped off Scarlet. "Are you okay?"

"Pepper!" Scarlet neighed. "What happened?"

"I'm fine. Maybe a little bruised." Zoey says, rubbing her right wrist.

"She was kicking me, and wouldn't stop. She kicked me so hard, it hurt so much, I-I just stopped." I tried to explain.

"Lets get you inside." Bailey says, leading Zoey to the big blue house. The other horses nuzzled me.

"Are you okay?" Jimber asked. "Are you hurt?" he looked over me, making sure I was standing and walking okay.

"I'm fine." I reply. "Maybe a little bruised from the kicking.... and maybe a little shook up, but I'm fine," I reassure him. Will and the girls then lead us inside, and untack and groom us.  Sara untacks me, gently stroking my belly and neck, softly grooming my body. I give a small whinny in delight.

"Good girl." Sara says, giving me a sugar cube and patting my neck before walking out of the stall. Sara walks out of the stable and into the pasture, attempting to catch Amber. She fails. Amber happily runs away from Sara, thinking it's a game. I smile, I have always loved foals. They're so sweet and cute.

Molly and Alma come up behind Sara, and try and help her catch the small filly. In the end, Sara pulls out a small sugar cube and leads Amber out of the pasture with it, into Scarlet's stall with her mother. Amber was getting to the point where she didn't need Scarlet as much. She didn't need to sleep with her mother in the same stall every night, and didn't need to nurse every hour.

When the older horses went out to the paddock, Amber would sometimes graze around me. I loved Amber more than any of the other foals, it's like we had a special connection.

I just wish I had a special connection with a stallion, or at least Zoey.
