How long are we going to keep doing this back and forth game of cat and mouse? We attack, he dodges, he attacks we dodged, repeat.

It was getting tiresome and even more irritating, by the time the falling building finally settled, and we were standing in the rubble. We stood out in the open now, and we still haven't made any progress on this misshapen demon. Sure landed a few hits on the beast, but it's not like you can tell since he just regenerates.

Don't even get my started on the stupid freaking sashes flying all over the place. The most annoying words I can't say because they bad words. >:(

I jumped back away from the swing scythes just in time for it to miss my face by only a few inches. Backflipping away with such agility that I didn't know I had like, I can't remember being able to do a backflip a few days ago, but okay.

When landing on my feet, I crouched down, laying my hand flat on the ground for another spike of ice to come shooting up near the Mantis. To no avail, he dodged easily. "Dude, your attacks are so predictable. So stupid."

I didn't answer as a narrowly dodged another one of his attacks, trying once again but doing something slightly different. I slid my hand over the dirty cobblestone beneath my fingers; my ice couldn't kill him, so stabbing him would pointless, but it's hard, and the colder it is, the harder it is to away from it.

Another spike grew from the ground, but this time chased him as he dodged, climbing up his legs the more he moved away from it or tried to break it off. Soon enough, leaving him stuck in one spot as the ice nailed him the ground from his feet up to his hips.

His teeth were gritted in frustration as he tried to pull himself away from the large chunk of cold rock, even using his disgusting-looking scythes to chip it away with all his force. It was working, but not as fast as he was planning.

Just at that time, I heard movement on a nearby roof, causing me to look up and see who it was. It was this pretty young woman, and her raven black hair was tied back tightly into a pony-tail, she had this distinct beauty mark below her left eye. I didn't recognize her and automatically assume she was some women aspiring to be a demon slayer and failed but is still trying.

Though something told me, I was wrong about that, but I don't have time to dwell on that at the moment.

She was holding a giant kunai cannon in her hands, firing them off with a loud boom! I jumped away from the Mantis demon- that was where the kunai was directed at- to dodge the incoming attack.

I watched him stare up at the incoming Kunai with abundant shocked hues, and for a moment, I got excited thinking we finally countered him and had him in a corner. Seeing he's stuck in place and can't jump away like he usually does.

But alas, that would be too easy. The Mantis gripped his scythes with much more force and began to swing them rapidly and quickly. He was creating a dome around him, knocking away all the Kunai and the ice along with them, making me give out an audible groan in displeasure. I just want to go to bed.

I watched Uzui not even dare stop his moments even as the kunai came for him too, watching him still to land attacks on the demon even as kunai buried themselves into his skin, causing more blood to seep out of him. His eyes were wide in concentration. I watched him speedily duct down, letting the Mantis' scythe miss him by far. Uzui was taking this as his chance swiping at the demon's ankles, severing them from the rest of the body. Just in time for one of the many Kunai to pierce the demon in the side of the neck. Causing him to grunt and hiss.

He tried to balance himself on his ankle nubs as the kunai sunk deeper and deeper with each passing second. I watched in awe seeing his legs not regenerate as fast as they usually did; it looked like he wasn't regenerating at all!
