Thirty minutes had passed of me running through fields full of grass and moss overgrown forest, maybe the occasional village. By this point, I could see bright lights shining in the distance- like a beacon- the red light district.

Admittedly if I were still human, I wouldn't have gotten here in thirty minutes as I did. I've been like this for how long now? And I'm still shocked at my abilities.

I wasn't following the crow anymore, I could see the lights of the district, and I knew that it was the district by the shape of the buildings. The rows of houses -varying from rich and poor- in a more a city like manner. Or it could be the occasional scream I'd hear an echo of bombs going off from that direction.

I could hear the white crow call out something to me behind me as I got closer to the district. Each passing step only lead for my undead heart to beat faster and drop into the pit of my stomach. I honestly did not have a good feeling about this. Maybe it was leaving Kadzuki behind in the palace, or perhaps it was being out on my own for the first time.

Maybe it was the PTSD from the train mission. Who knows?

Soon the dirt and grass I was running on turned into stone peddled paths as I entered the district, immediately being met with the smell of alcohol and cigarettes, the stench causing my face to contort slightly.

I halted in my tracks, causing the crow to hover in the air near me in confusion. I could hear bombs going off, followed by shouting in the distance, and maybe one or two people would come running past me in a panicked hurry. Fear laced through their body as they ran for a shelter somewhere else.

I strained my ears to hear exactly where the explosions were coming from, instead of going through each alley. "We'll win easily, you dumb underlings!!"

... Well glad to know Uzui's still alive.

"There may be in my body, but I'm running high! Don't look down on us, humans!!" He was so loud, dear lord, I could hear him so clearly from where I stood. My ears perked up at the mention of poison. Unwanted worry slowly seeping into my veins.

I started running in the direction I heard his voice, still straining to listen to what was going on. "These three boys are my prized 'successors'! They won't run away! They've got guts!"

"Fuhaha! Hell yeah!" I could hear Inosuke cackle from a distance. Hearing their voices brought some small comfort to me. Knowing their okay brought some stress off my shoulders-though not all of it.

I sharply took and corner when I heard Uzui's loud voice echoing from a nearby alley. "Even if you cut my limbs off, I'll come biting at you!"

"And I've already figured out how to beat you guys! Just cut your heads off at the same time! You'll both die simultaneously!" I couldn't help it, how much he sounded like Kyojuro and Kadzuki when he said that, so confident about it. "That has to be it! I have no reason to split you guys apart and take the weak little sister alive! HAAAH! You guys are too easy!!"

I turned another corner at the sound of Inosuke's voice. "Guwahahaha! I see how simple! Of course, we're gonna win!!"

There were some more quiet talking that I couldn't hear until I got a little closer, it was scratchy low voice followed by a loud shrill sounding one. "-You're all gonna met your deaths here!!" The shrill one shrieked at what I assumed was the boys.
