"Ouch! Bitch, I love you but I won't hesitate to shove that brush up-" I screech at Macy.

"Shut up! You're messing up my work. Just please sit still and this will be over soon." Macy grabs my shoulders in a vice grip and shakes me a little, as though she's trying to give me some sense.

"Ok, but someone please grab my phone for me so I won't be bored during this torture." Nola throws my phone at me and I smile a thanks at her as she goes back to her textbook.

I quickly check through social media and see that Carlie has tagged us in a post on instagram and Facebook. It's a picture of Macy poking a makeup brush at my eyes whilst I'm squinting and batting her arms away, Nola is smiling shyly behind her glasses and Carlie as usually is pulling a sexy pout. It's captioned "Girls night! Xox". I roll my eyes but click the like button and leave a comment with several hearts. The duties of being a teenager I guess.

My phone vibrates in my hand. It's a text from Tristan that I hastily open.

Tristan: Hey Cee, just wanted to check in to see if you're coming tonight... my parents are super excited to see you x

Celia: I wouldn't miss it. I'm bringing my friends Nola and Macy If that's ok?

Tristan: Oh yeah... of course that's ok. What's this I hear about you and my brother 'getting to know eachother'?

Celia: Omg lol. Your brother is a moron. It's just a project for school. So dumb.

Tristan: Ok, just be careful. We know how mean he can be to you and i would hate to have to hit my brother AGAIN for hurting you.

Celia: I'm sure he won't try anything. See you later x.

"Who's that?" Macy tries to snatch my phone out of my hand but I quickly lock it.

"It's Tristan, if you insist on knowing. He's just checking that we're still coming." I explain as I try to sneak a peek in the mirror.

"Stop that! How often do you two text them?"

"Does it matter?" I question back.

"Look, there's something about him I don't trust. Just be careful." She begs whilst continuing to beat me with her damn tools.

"I've known him since we was both young, he won't hurt me in any way."

"Ok... I'm done now. Take a look hot stuff." She spins me around so I can see myself in my floor length mirror that hangs on my lilac wall.

I gasp and my hand comes to my mouth. I know I'm not ugly, but I'm nothing special either. But she managed to make me look stunning with her makeup skills. Although it's a basic smokey with a nude pink lip, she's changed me from bland to beautiful by highlighting and accentuating my best features.

I jump into Macy's waiting arms and squeal in her ears. "Thank you! Thank you! I look so pretty."

"Yes, you do. Cole will definitely notice you now." Carlie pipes up from her chair in the corner. She slaps it down on the counter and goes into my closet.

"Here," she throws a piece of fabric at me, "wear this."

I unfold it and discover it's a dress I've brought and never worn. There's a surprise! I hate girly dresses. It's a summer skater dress that's black with yellow ditsy daisies on it. I hesitantly put it on and pair it with some black sandals Carlie picked out.

"You look so cute and hot at the same time. He won't ever see it coming. Which is good; catch him off guard and make him fall for you in his confused state." Carlie smirks and puts her hands on her hips.
