I know I already posted a part today, but I couldn't help it 🥺✨

Gilbert walked back to his dorm room, he was just reading up for an exam that was happening before winter break.

He wanted to get the exam over with so he could see his Anne-girl.

There was still another two months until he would see her, but it was worth it.

He walked into his dorm room that he shared with his friend, Fred Write.

"Hey, Gilly boy" Fred said from his bed, reading a book.

"Why hello there Freddy!" Gilbert greeted.

"You got a letter from that redhead of yours" Fred wriggled his eyebrows, clearly mocking Gilbert.

Fred dangled the letter in his hand.

"Give me that!" Gilbert snatched the letter from his friend, a smile playing on his face.

Gilbert ripped open the letter, thirsty for Anne's words.

Dear Gilbert,

As winter nears I become more, and more anxious to see you again.
I know I won't be able to see you for another two months, but then we have a month to ourselves!

I'm elated to see you again. I'll have to admit, I feel a pang of jealousy every time I see my friends with their beau's.
Though, Diana doesn't have one so I suppose I have her to keep me company.

In your last letter you mentioned your friend Fred joining you on your trip here. I think it would be absolutely wonderful to meet the man you speak so fondly of!

The other day my Math teacher, Mr. Frim, told me that women shouldn't be able to attend school! Can you believe that! He is very old fashioned, and it just boils my blood!

Do you remember how I told you about my history teacher? Ms. Sanders? Well she is absolutely marvelous! Today we each chose somewhere in the world to do a project on, I chose Scotland, and we will be researching that place until winter break! Most of my classmates, including Josie, were not very happy about it, but I just found it to be so educational!

I'm rambling again aren't I?

Well I should start studying Scotland!

I love you!, Anne.

Gilbert read the letter at least three times, just so he knew for sure what was going on.

He loved how Anne's letters were so cheerful, just like her, well most of the time at least.

He missed her dearly and was just counting down the days until they would reunite.

Ka'kwet say by a window in the 'school' and watched the smoke hiding in the trees die down. She knew it was her parents, they had been their for months now.

Every night she would sit by the window waiting for them to come and rescue her from this hell they called a school.

On every coming day she would loose more and more of her culture. She was starting to forget her own language because of the lack of its usage!

"Hannah! You should be sleeping!" One of the sisters yelled at her.
She grabbed Ka'kwet by the arm and pulled her into the room where the children were to sleep.

"Go. To. Bed!" She threw Ka'kwet on the ground and walked away, locking the door this time.

The room where they expected the children to sleep was dark, there were no windows, and no cushions to sleep on, just the cold hard floor.

Just like every other night Ka'kwet cried herself to sleep, knowing she may be there for what felt like the rest of her life.

Thank you for reading this chapter!
I wanted to touch base on Ka'kwets story because it breaks my heart, and it's an important part in the show.

I feel like most fanfics just go use on the shirbert, but I wanna focus on the other thing Anne with an E is about.

Anyways as always thanks for reading!
