I need better title names-
It was now a month until Anne would see her beloved beau, Gilbert.
She felt as if the letters weren't enough any more. She wanted to see him.
But at the same time she didn't.
She knew that once she saw him again, she would miss him so much more than before.
Anne was sitting on a bench at a park one afternoon.
It was one of her favorite places in Charlottetown because there was so much 'scope for the imagination'.
She was reading her newest letter from Gilbert, she wasn't paying attention. If she were she would have seen the tall dark fellow standing before her.
"Hello, Anne." Charlie Sloan waved awkwardly to the red head.
"Oh, Charlie..." Anne said clearly wanting him to go away.
"Whatcha got there?" Charlie asked, sitting next to her on the bench.
Anne rolled her eyes "a letter."
"Oh" Charlie said "Well would you like to go on a walk tomorrow, it's Saturday and I know Mrs. Blackmore only allows suitors on Saturday."
"Uh-" Anne said not wanting to hurt the boys feelings. "Well, um, Charlie... I, uh, have a suitor.."
"Oh? Who?" Charlie didn't believe her when she said Gilbert Blythe, until she showed him the letter.
"Well, he's in Toronto, I'm here. I think we both know who the obvious choice is." Charlie said arrogantly.
At this Anne walked away.
Charlie stood up and grabbed her hand. "C'mon Anne, please?"
"No! Let go!"she tried to grab her hand out of his grasp, but he was much stronger than her.
"Let go of her!" Someone pushed Charlie away from Anne.
Once Charlie was gone Anne finally got a proper look at who just saved her.
He had dark straight hair, he was tall, and quite handsome.
"Oh, I'm Anne." She stuck to our her hand for him to shake.
"Roy." He shook her hand, he had strong hands, not as soft as Gilbert though.
"Thank you. That Charlie Sloan doesn't know when to back off." Anne said
"Oh, yeah, when I see a pretty girl in trouble I just need to help." With this comment Anne's face turned as bright as her hair.
"Oh, erm, ok." She said still blushing
"Heh sorry, can't help it."
"Gilbert-" Anne said, "I have a beau named Gilbert."
"Oh, sorry, I didn't mean to make this awkward. I'll go now. See you around, Anne." He tipped his hat and walked away.
What on earth just happened? Anne thought to herself as she rushed back to the boarding house.
Hi, this was a very confusing chapter even for myself, I wanted Roy to be in it for future tea, and I wanted to show that Charlie still likes Anne. Ok thanks for reading this. Also I'm sorry this is so awkward.
